It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.

Grizzlies

Latin name is ursus arctus horribilis
Named for the way the tip of their fur turns silvery as they age
They are omnivorous (eat both meat and plants)
60-90% of their diet consists of grass, roots, berries, tubers and insects

Males weigh between 325-1500 lbs.
(That's 147-590 kilograms!)
Females weigh between 150-800 lbs.
(68-363 kilograms)
Cubs weigh only 1 lb (.45 kg) when born,
but gain weight quickly

They can live up to 30 years in the wild
There are between 10,000 to 13,000 grizzlies in BC alone. (In some US States they are considered threatened and in Eastern Europe they are ranked as endangered)

The largest threat to Grizzlies is loss of habitat and illegal hunting.

They can run up to 30 mph (54 kmh) in short bursts
70% of all human deaths from Grizzly attacks happen when a mother is protecting her cub.
Grizzlies stand on their hind legs when they are curious or if they want a better view of something
