[history]
August 4, 2003 -- The woman accusing Kobe Bryant of rape tearfully told a bellhop minutes after the alleged attack that that she had just been "forced to have sex" with the NBA superstar, according to a new report. Friends and co-workers of the accuser told Fox News correspondent Rita Cosby that the 19-year- old hotel worker's clothing was torn when she spoke with the bellhop.

That would support the idea that she did not concoct the story. Obvious statement of the day.

(No, we can't all just get along.)

Were there any security cameras/video that could have captured the accused walking or returning back to the mail lobby area?
I'm sure this may be part of the 'evidence' that the prosecution may have available.

When Rita first breathlessly reported this, she stated that the bellhop told her this story (gag order?) Now, it seems, this was related to Rita by a friend of the accuser. She also reported that Kobe had been in Eagle on June 11th, possibly for a consult on his upcoming surgery.

I don't buy it. If someone comes to me and says they've been raped I call the cops or at the least tell my manager, I don't drive them home.

Sorry - *double-correction*

She said she talked to the bellhop. I'm positive of that. Is that not true?

He is a "very close" friend of the accuser, according to Rita (for what that is worth).

This has settlement written all over it.
I feel sorry for Kobie, imagine the first time you are unfaithful to your wife of only two years whom you adore to the tune of $8,000,000 that this happens. The first and only time. You have to feel sorry for this poor guy. No wonder he was crying, I would cry too, that was a really big ring.

We're all cynical, friend.
I'm with you on the "exclusive" thing; does she mean she's the first one on FOX to report it or what? :-)

I think she was raped in the elevator so anything this guy says means nothing.

Kobe was a married man. He deserves what he gets.

I definitely heard her say she talked to the bellhop. Geraldo supposedly corrected this (I didn't see his show) to a friend of hers related the bellhop story, and that the bellhop didn't drive her home because she was too upset to drive, but that the ride home was planned in advance. I'll look for the link of Geraldos show where I read this.

I'm getting really tired of selected leaking of "evidence" by both sides in these high profile trials for the implied purpose of influencing future jury panels.
You either have a case, or you don't.

His wife also had his baby just a very few months ago. In my neck o' the woods, the wimmen folk would tear a strip of his hide and beat him with it.

That's what I heard her say to. Positively.
Ping me if you find what Geraldo said. (BTW, what's with his HAIR???? Getting ready for the wedding????)

I'm sure that not only was it his first and only incident of straying or anything like this, but that it was all her fault and that she tempted him beyond his capacity to resist, the poor thing. But did he get to Church the next morning as usual?
To: Howlin
The first thing that will happen is that the trial will be moved, then through a series of events he'll be aquitted and subsequently she'll file a civil suit whihc will be settled.
Just call me Karnak.

"Kobe will be nailed on this one"
And I keep thinking about what the female juror said after the jury she was on set OJ free.
"All they had was a bloody glove and DNA evidence."
He's guilty as hell. He's playing the race card. He'll walk.
