Also, it's very nice that you would have gone straight to the police. If the bellhop story turns out to be true it does not mean she isn't telling the truth just because they didn't go straight there. It makes it more likely she IS telling the truth and less likely lying, the way I see it. Testimony will tell: Did the bellhop suggest the police and she (presuming the rape happened) was overwhelmed with shame and panic insisted no? We'll see.
