[history]
The city is opening a full-fledged high school for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students - the first of its kind in the nation, The Post has learned.
Operating for two decades as a small alternative program with just two classrooms, the new Harvey Milk HS officially opens as a stand-alone public school with 100 students in September.

"Don't you have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the educational content at this "gay school" will be a bit queered? "I'm kind of glad for them to be taken out of the regular schools. $3 million for renovations for 2 classrooms of students is a bit much though. What is that 60 students so $50,000 of renovations per child?
Suggested course offerings
- History of Sodom and Gemmorrah
- Civics - Manipulating governments for special rights
- Algebra without squares.
- Gross Biology
- Life Science - Why you won't have decendants

On the positive side, having all these gay etc activist kids in one shcool, it will lessen the pressure for the rest of the district student population to worship at the sexual "diversity" alter.

I'm glad for the sake of the normal students. But...but....their school choice takes funding away from the heterosexual public schools. The left said school choice is....is......bad for America!

it will lessen the pressure for the rest of the district No. They'll still be indoctrinated into the Marxist agenda, then transfered after their first gay encounter. It will be like a "graduation."

At least they have a school uniform.

Well, there is no argiung that the rat extremist left "progressives" will sink to any lengths to tear down society so they can rule instead of God. I don't believe they will win in the end.

The highschool quarterback will use a long count under the center. (g)
Personally, I think we should be quiet. If they want to segregate themselves, far be it from me to object.
BTW, what are the international symbols for transgendered bathrooms? One must have a needle and thread displayed and the other a knife.

Hey this is the exact reason they feel like they deserve special treatment... people such as you won't leave them alone. If they'd stop the Gay in-your-face agenda, no one would even know they were gay. They're making victims of themselves, and like good little liberals, they're blaming it on everyone else in order to get a "protected status."
They're human mutants. Not he. Not she. A small handfull of sexually frusterated dysfunctionals. They should seek help, not heterosexual tax dollars to save them from themselves.
They need to admit to themselves they have a strange, self-defeating sex fetish. Like alchoholics, they can too be cured. They just have to confront themselves.
I'm not heartless. I do pity them. They've failed in life. They really need help to straighten out their misguided lives.
Catering to homosexuals, alchoholics, or drug addicts, is not the answer. Would you give an alcoholic their own bar? A drug addict an unlimited supply of drugs? Why give homosexuals a place to have more perverse sex?

Noone should have to deal with being made fun of every day based on something that shouldn't matter to anyone. The point that everyone misses is that gay people are just that, people, and this is just them trying to make their lives better. Christians in the liberal indoctrination centers have suffered homosexual oppression for years. They wanted school choice, too.

I know a few homosexual/bisexual people, and I've managed to track down two of them (I'm seeking others as well) for their take on the matter.
One (bisexual) thinks that it's a bad idea all around, finding it worse than the idea of segregating schools by race and finding the whole concept sexist. He said that he "furrowed his brow in disgust at the notion".
Another (homosexual) thinks that it might be a good idea for the few teenagers who genuinely need a safehouse, but apart from that it's either neutral or negative, leaning toward negative because segregation of this nature is generally a bad thing. He has even stronger reservations against it being taxpayer-funded, too. He wouldn't mind a safehouse arrangement, but he does not care for the idea of a segregated school.

"they're renovating the building... not the students"If the building has other uses than these two classes, then fine. But for $3,000,000 I would think they could buy a really really nice facility for 60 students even in NY.
