"When President Clinton put together a magnificent military and handed it over to Bush, that's the person who deserves our credit."

What a lively sense of humor!

...elected Democrats have been noticeably reluctant to praise President Bush for a job well done.

On last night's Hannity and Dipstick, Hannity asked some RAT from California if he could say anything, ANYTHING nice about Dubya.

After a few seconds of dead air, the answer came back, "Well he did recognize the axis of evil..."

The RATS just can't do it. Maybe after he gets reelected in a landslide - maybe not...

From the article: Asked Friday night if he thought President Bush did a good job in taking out the brutal duo, Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Calif., told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes," "When President Clinton put together a magnificent military and handed it over to Bush, that's the person who deserves our credit."

Whaaaaaat?

Did the Toon train the troops himself or is he only responsible for making us have to deploy the National Guard in order to have the correct specialties on-scene.

If you look at the command and control performance, Bush=Iraq and Toon=Somalia. Which take-down exercise was successful? What was the difference between the two? Which one had the armor and the support from the top? Can anyone say "Blackhawk down?"

PS Rummy is working to undo the damage to the force structure that resulted from 8 years of KlinTOON. Isn't it nice to have the adults in charge again?

On the other hand, it is just as logical to blame Bush for the recession that began in 2000, and ended 20 months ago.

More "Conservatives feel compelled to use their minds and come up with rationale for their actions."

Clinton did to the military what he did to the CIA. He used them, abused them, and diminished them — just like he does with his women.

So when the Liberals complain that Osama and Saddam haven't been found yet we can blame the Clinton administration for the "sorry state" of our armed services and direct all questions to Rep. Brad Sherman.
Perhaps the major networks can jump on this and give Klinton some face time to explain himself....
I'll hang up and listen for my answer.

My son just turned 20 last month. He signed up in August of 2001 and started on a delayed entry the following October. They started some intense training in January of this year and have put it to good use so far. At the present, my son is in Mosul, along with the rest of his buddies, doing a damn fine job in a military they joined after the Clinton abomination went away.

"But at least one Democrat has now stepped up to the plate to give credit where he says credit is due - to former President Bill Clinton."

What you have to remember is that Democrats give credit based upon popularity.

No, I don't mean Clinton's popularity, but rather I mean on the popularity of the idea at issue.

So when a Democrat starts saying that Clinton deserves credit for something, it means that "something" is now popular.

Which is to say in this case that our military is now popular, the precise opposite result of what Clinton protested for back in the 1960's.

Moreover, this means that even the Democrats are conceding that having a strong military is a "good" thing.

For Democrats at large, this is a major shift. Only a select few held this position in the recent past.

That it comes from a California Democrat should be scaring the bejesus out of the Party hierarchy.

After all, if a mighty military is now popular in California, what precisely does that suggest the voters in that state will do in 2004?!
