THE CANTEEN SPORTS CORNER SPECIAL
Do you love cars, motorcycles, and music? Today is your thread. We wanted to share with our troops a little reminder of home. As they are defending our freedom, we wanted to bring them some really cool choices for transportation. We've also asked some familiar names to share their favorite cars, motorcycles, and music. We'll share that with you a little further down. As usual, we provide links on the left and right hand side. The regular sports links are on the right. Click on the images and hyperlinks. A special thank you to MoJo's 8 year old son, Bobby. If you like the cars and motorcycles on this thread, you can thank him. He thought his mommy didn't have a clue and decided to help her out. Thank you, Bobby! (Be sure to check out his favorite car the Dodge Viper. It is the third picture at the top!!) |

I have a 69 GTO that I am restoring. Needs a lot of work. Original color is Antique Gold (barf). I am repainting it Carousel Red. I know the feeling. My Roadrunner was origionally 'Butternut' yellow....emphasis on the butter.
Some previous owner shot a coat of black on it.
Black it will stay.

I haven't been doing much to it as of late. I am in the process of remodeling the house.
Engine and transmission are done. This one is an automatic w/ air conditioning and hide-away headlights. Suspension work is next. It also has a rusted out channel at the bottom of the rear window. This is a common problem with GM A-body cars. I don't have a jpg of it. I will try to get one, and e-mail it to you.

That is so awesome Goddess! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Bobby is really excited! Also, our cousins from New Zealand are lurking. So? Kia Ora cousins! This has really made his day. Thank you, Goddess!! My monitor is getting watery for some reason. I think I need to get a towel or something. Thanks Capt. Tonkin!! (I hope you aren't doing anything dangerous at the Coast Guard Station. I'd hate to have to give your CO an earful!!)

I remember that color. There was a lot of really neat cars built in the 60's, early 70's that were painted some awful colors. GM had a mint green metallic that looked pretty bad.

they brag about how much mobility I have when I show them, the other PT's shake their heads when they see how far I can lift my arm up after only 7 weeks
it still hurts like you cannot imagine when I do my stretching exercises.
and I mean, little girl screaming hurt, like women giving childbirth pain...I think anyways... :)

For some reason, Bobby thinks sliding down the mud is a fun thing to do. LOL!
