MSNBC: Alleged (Kobe Byrant) Victim seen bragging at a party 3 days later
MSNBC.COM ^ | 7/22/03 | MSNBC

Posted on 07/22/2003 8:20:57 AM PDT by Smogger

I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.

They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)

The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.

When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.

I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.

This just keeps getting better and better...

In the case of Kobe Bryant, this girl waited nearly 2 weeks before crying rape. No medical evidence whatsoever. What happened, did she fail to get pregnant (18 years of a lavish lifestyle being the mother of a celebrity kid) and extortion didn't work??

You are completely cracked. She reported the attack within 12 hours, and there is tons of medical evidence and DNA. You aren't even close.

There are many possibilities, among them that the sex was consensual, and she got mad at him later for "not calling" or whatever

Another possibility is that she did indeed go up there intending to sleep with him, but that his approach was quite a bit ruder and cruder than she was used to ("On yo knees, b----h, and worship my manhood with yo lily-white lips -- then yo need ta service my bodyguards too!"), and that she changed her mind and he didn't want to let her leave

What evidence do you have that it was consensual?

I didn't say that I had any evidence that it was consensual, did I? In fact, I never made the claim. The only words in my mouth are the ones that I allow to be placed there by my own brain. These, my friend, are your words, not mine.

So far, the word of a lying adulterer.

Adulterer? Yes, he's definitely that. Lying? That's yet to be proven either in any way germane to this specific case.

It's too Clintonian.

Hyperbole. We had tons of evidence against Clinton. We had many women from Clinton's past who testified under oath that he was a sexual predator, and another who stated on national television that he sexually assaulted her. Now that' strong. She stated this about the President of the United States for the world to see.

This is not about Clinton. This is about Kobe Bryant and the alleged victim.

He lied saying nothing happened until DNA evidence forced the truth from him.

Actually, he never said nothing happened. He said that he didn't rape her.

When one of the girl's friends described her to Rita Cosby as, "flawless," I knew the media would leave no stone unturned to disprove that. It was kind of like Gary Hart daring the media to follow him. Rita did look pretty silly pretending that these "sources" (17, 18 year old girls) was a serious interview.

I don't think it's much of a stretch of the imagination to thing that the sex was consensual and that she wanted to brag about it to her ex-boyfriend. Maybe the suicide attempt didn't get his attention but sex with a big-name athlete would.

I don't know if it happened this way or not, just that from the facts we know so far, it's not much of a stretch.

Just read another post that the girl was in fact injured. Injuries are still discernible three weeks later. I guess Kobe will call another press conference and announce that it was rough sex-consensual rough sex. The bi...wanted it that way. Hey, she wanted to hurt, and Kobe being a "gentleman" obliged. What a guy!

The point about your opinion has already been stipulated. I just hope that I'm not accused of anything in my lifetime. Guilt or innocence could be judged before the jury notices are even mailed. That's not a just society. That's scary.

I agree. In stanger rapes, the victim is almost never blamed. It is the so-called "date rapes' where we often suspect the victim of contributing to her situation. Let's face it, there is a huge difference between Kobe crawling through her bedroom window with a knife clenched between his teeth, and her voluntarily going to his motel room.

Usually but not always. In public, Kobe is gentle and charming. We do not know how he can get behind closed doors, particularly if he's been on pain-killers for his knee, and has been drinking at all

I could see a girl going up to his room expecting to be seduced and charmed into bed by a celebrity, but then finding herself in a situation where he displays a much uglier side of himself, he isn't charming at all, and is not about to let her leave without giving him the "room service" he now demands

Well hello. That's freedom for you. People are allowed to have their opinions. Kobe will get a fair trial and will walk away a free man just like OJ. That's the beauty of America. It's fine with me because I don't know the little hussy. He just sounds guilty to me.

He was being deceptive saying everything would be fine. Everything was not fine and he hsad to admit adultery a couple of days later.

If she went up there expecting some action and got some action, I don't think she would bother going to the Sheriff afterwards.

She's not anonymous, everyone in the media knows who she is.

She's being TREATED anonymously... and very much by her own choice... she is not pressured into answering allegations and stories aginst her.... or into validating her allegations against Kobe in the media. Maybe some of us "dirt diggers" here on the internet might have some personal information about her... but she is COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS in the mainstream media.

Because she's not constantly surrounded 24/7 like Bryant is. If someone said something about a person here in my town, I couldn't refute it because the odds are low that I would know exactly what someone else here in town does all the time.

Very few people are surrounded constantly ... and we're not talking about how many times she picked her nose on wednesday, what time she ate dinner on thursday or how fast she drag-raced the president on friday. The lies you seem to be refering to are incidents that occured with people around as witnesses.... or general assertions of character. Other peoples business tends to get circulated around a small town much faster than in the big city... and the talk about this girl is coming from locals who know her or know OF HER.... prior to these charges. You don't know what anybody other than yourself does all the time... Talk about this girl could be refused from the same pool of local resources that generated the talk in the first place.
