BOOKING LAYOFFS
Predictions in the slumping book industry that blockbusters like New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clintons tell-little biography would revive sales are dying fast.
Washington Whispers is told that Simon and Schuster publisher of Clintons 'Living History,' is planning a second round of layoffs.
One reason: Advances to Authors are too high.

Maybe not every one, but certainly she had a role in this one.

Helping the "little people" has been very profitable for her, Bill, and Jesse.

LOL - yeah, it was "in the black" from the moment it was printed, depending on how they're counting.
So we're hiring an accountant, see, and the boss asks the first guy "how much is 2 plus 2?" He says, "4," and the boss says "don't call us, we'll call you." The boss asks the next guy, "how much is 2 plus 2?" "Four," the guy says, and the boss says "there's the door." The third guy he asks "how much is 2 plus 2?" and the guy gets up, closes the door, lowers the blinds, leans forward and asks "how much do you want it to be?" He was hired.

It simply needed to be a better book, but you can't tell that at the time of writing an advance check. They were dealing with the Clintons. They should have known better.

#28 ON AMAZON AND STILL FALLING, 8 POINTS IN 1 DAY!
To: ewing
Most of Her Heinous' books "sold" are still sitting in huge displays in the front of bookstores, unwanted. They'll all be in the $3 bin before long where they
still won't sell. Eventually, they'll be carted to the dump for a tax writeoff.
This was a scam and "legal" $8 million political payoff right from the beginning, just like Fort Worthless Jim Wright's pasted together screed which was bought by the tons with labor union dues.
The upcoming multi-million $ book by Bubba is more of the same scam.

The only big publisher that does not have a conservative book-publishing imprint now. They got rid of the one they had (turned it ordinary). I have some excellent suggestions for people to lay off.

And ... don't forget another 26 weeks of unemployment!

Was at the local Sam's Club yesterday. They had "Lying History" in a prominent rack (marked down), with about five other boods in similar displays next to it. The cases for the other books were half-emptied, people were buying them. The boxes for Hillary's fiction were full - I don't think a single book had been bought. It was a stark contrast!
And this only a month or two after the release of the "biggest selling book in history"! Where are the Simon & Schuster hypesters now, after all their brave statements in the first few days after the book's release?

Here's the germ of an idea for the upcoming Seattle FReep!
The books they're buying have cost workers their jobs...

So it turned out to be pretty much what many of us had predicted - a means for that company to put $8 million into the hands of a favored politician, recover some of it from the public and write off the rest as a business loss BUMP!

Can't wait for Phil Grahm to ask for a Senatorial Investigation into S&S, the Enron of publishing. Not only do they publish books, they cook them too!

Doesn't x42i have a BIGGER advance from S&S ?...
When that comes out, there will be no workers left.
Looks like the Clintons bankrupt another company.
