As it pertains to 'W', this is a non-story. It was a non-story when Tony Blair defended it. It became even less of a story when Tenet took the hit.
Rush is right when he says that America does not accept the rantings of liberals, ABCCBSNBCNNNNYT, etc. They have nothing to make the case, we have info that clearly refutes it. Let 'em rant and saw off the limb they're sitting on. It will be a beautiful thing.

Rummy's taking George Steffy (ABC) to the woodshed on some of the mischaracterizations and misrepresentations. It's worth watching.
Steffy can't compete with the Secretary.

You should see Rumsfeld take on Geo. Stephanopolous. Georgie looks like a schoolboy and I'm almost embarrassed for him.

Juan certainly pretty snide today but it's starting to look like this story will blow up in the liberals' collective faces.

Rumsfeld's verbal skills are a lethal weapon!

CNN showed a clip of Rumsfeld almost going Clintonesque on us with "Bush said that the BRITISH said..." and therefore he's okay. That isn't clintonesque---it's called laying out the facts.
That is in fact what this whole brouhaha is all about. Period.

The battle for the hearts and minds of the voters is on and it's only just begun!Throw enough up there and perhaps something will stick.I don't think this is the "one".

Let 'em rant and saw off the limb they're sitting on. It will be a beautiful thing. The only danger here is that this story is getting way more attention than it deserves. It is growing to the point where sawing off the limb might be very difficult, or it might hurt some good people when it falls.
This week with Stephanopoulos just started here. The intro contained a whopper of a falsehood. Something about "the controversy of how untrue information got into the state of the union address continues."
There was nothing untrue in the State of the Union address.

I noticed that too. There didn't seem to be the normal level of confidence in her voice when responding to pretty intense questioning by Tony Snow about this uranium information witch-hunt.I disagree. It just started here and she sounds exactly on point and is explainly the facts that have been twisted.
And as I posted several times yesterday, she just said that they still believe Iraq was seeking to procure uranium from Africa.
She does not seem to be talking fast to me---at all.
To: ALOHA RONNIE
Oh, brother. Now Wesley Clark on the Georgie S. show has tried to raise the bar. Now it won't be enough if we find WMD - he has tried to say we have to find documentation in Iraq that proves they were going to act against the US and the threat was imminent.
I'm doing my deep breathing and it isn't helping. Frantically searching for other comedy on television because Wesley Clark really isn't that funny.

You might want to start your VCR. It would be worth it when Rummy takes on Steffy near the 30 minute mark.

Tim is trying to corner Rumsfeld about North Korea, comparing it with Iraq but he isn't taking the bait and points out that Iraq had broken 17 agreements with the UN prior to our action there.May I take a moment to say that after Tony Blair visits the U.S. next week he is traveling east---stopping in South Korea. I find that interesting even if the media does not.
To: CMClay
Rumsfeld is getting raked over the coals by Timmy. They need to find or plant some wmds to kill off this story.Since Fox is on at the same time as MTP I just switched to Tim because I found your observation unbelievable. Indeed, I'm hearing Rumsfeld in command of his facts and not getting raked. Hmmmmmm
To: Peach
George S (ABC) didn't chat very long with Clark. George, still rebounding from Rumsfeld's stern interview, didn't seem to inclined to talk at length with Clark. (I was surprised at the shortness of that Clark interview--it was definitely a non-event.)
