Rumsfeld is getting raked over the coals by Timmy.
They need to find or plant some wmds to kill off this story.

The press sure is spending a lot of time on such an irrelevant story.
I'd like to hear how much Hillarys book tour is costing the American taxpayers, and why the dems say there's not enough money for a tax relief pakage, yet they can watch the money fly around the country with their queen. Now that would be scandlous! If they want ratings, they should report news, not democrat wish lists.

You MUST be watching a different show. Russert isn't gaining any traction with Rummy and in fact Rummy is sort of laughing off his questions because they are so easily answered.

Regarding your comment that the administration should plant WMD to kill off this story - it's a made up "scandal" and you must be kidding or looking at some DNC talking points.

Issa says he plans to be on the ballot. Says the SOS has done a 180 and is now cooperating. Pulled a dollar out of his pocket and says that's how much it costs to have an election. then pulls out a huge stack of bills and says that represents the debt - $1100 per man, woman and child. Says the deficit is more than all the other states combined.

Pulling weeds helps. Better is pulling Democrats out of their holes of lies and deceit.

I'm convinced what we are seeing now is no more than Democrat desperation in being so far behind in the polls and realizing they will not only lose next November, but lose big. They are doing everything they can think of to stem the loss. This entire concept of "Bush lied" is base retaliation for President Clinton's proven lies and his impeachment. Democrats will have to learn to live with the stigma of Clinton being the only elected president impeached in the history of the country but they are in denial.

Nothing to date has stuck to Bush and, given time, this will backfire on the Democrats as well.

He says the dems are staying out of the race since the type of reforms needed are not what dems like to do. Says they have to convince people that 38 billion isn't enough negative spending. One third of the signatures on the recall petition came from dems.

We don't vote for democrat policies here. Sorry.
Sheesh! You'd think Bush bombed an asprin factory or set Bin Ladin free a couple of times or something! All he did was give a speach about what we had! Heck, you'd think he committed perjury before the grand jury the way the left is reacting.

"Condi is ... talking extremely fast."

I've noticed that she always talks that way. That one of the reasons I don't think that she would make a very good political candidate.

Yep. The only people interested in this story are the press. It must be a slow time of the month.
Another story breaks, and this becomes a non event.

It is a slow news time for the media. The summer always is. So they're looking for anything, no matter how trumped up, to sink their teeth into. Just wait until the President goes to Crawford next month. I'm sure they'll be a scandal about how GWB used Thomas Jefferson's words in a speech without his permission, thus making Bush guilty of a crime.

Yeh. FOX (and I'd suppose other news programs as well) allows only so much time per interview. If you have something to say, you have to talk fast to get it all in or they'll cut you off. Condi is good. I like her.

Tony Snow just said that the first thing the new Iraqi Council did yesterday was to remove all the Saddam holidays from the calendar and make April 9 - statue-toppling day - their first new national holiday.

I think that's wonderful.

I like her as well, but even in speeches I've seen she seems tenative. I don't thing she is tenative but her style of speech gives that impression.

Glad to pass along the info. :-)

It looks like your team will have several new faces this fall. I think Malone should have retired gracefully. His ego may not be a good fit but Payton should work.

Condi is on with Tony Snow, talking extremely fast.

That's what brilliant people that think fast do!
