Let 'em rant and saw off the limb they're sitting on. It will be a beautiful thing.

The only danger here is that this story is getting way more attention than it deserves. It is growing to the point where sawing off the limb might be very difficult, or it might hurt some good people when it falls.

This week with Stephanopoulos just started here. The intro contained a whopper of a falsehood. Something about "the controversy of how untrue information got into the state of the union address continues."

There was nothing untrue in the State of the Union address.

We simply must make Fox at least understand the true facts on this story. Even they have been falling down and talking about "mistakes" and "erroneous intelligence".

Who among the press does not understand the following:

1) the British still stand by the uranium intelligence information.

2) MI5 still stands by the uranium intelligence information.

3) Tenet and others have called it a mistake to leave it in the State of the Union Address because the CIA could not verify the intel personally.

4) The president did not say "Saddam bought uranium". He said "British intelligence tellls us Iraq has TRIED TO PURCHASE uranium".

5) Everyone in the UN knew that Iraq had a WMD program and was trying to reinvent their nuclear program. That is what the 17 resolutions pertained to - the WMD programs in Iraq and how Iraq had violated those resolutions since 1991. The arguing among nations was what to do about those violations.
