[history]
Simon was leaning over the railing of the Pirates dugout between the sixth and seventh innings when the customary sausage race was being contested, with four people in costumes running around the infield warning track. I'll put my sense of humor up against anyones.....anytime, but I fail to see the humor in one person hitting another with a bat. Like everyone else I have seen it over and over again on TV and to me that was NOT a "love tap" as someone on another thread stated. If this had been an average citizens doing this he would be in jail.

You relish this, don't you? Mustard all your courage and went for the whole hog. :) Chewer correct. Frankly, a little spare-ribbing never left anyone for the wurst or gave them grounds for beefing, though some people never loin.

You really need to get a grip pal. Susan Sarandon's line not withstanding, the ball park is not a church, and baseball players are not statesmen.

Tell me this Church Lady: What's so dignified about a sausage race in the first place?
