jeepers freepers!
some wingnut posted the following diatribe to craigslist yesterday morning.
Volunteers are needed to help support the Republican Party in New York for the upcoming Presidential Election. The lunatic fringe elements on the Left, who do not believe in the open discussion of ideas, will stop at nothing to disrupt the Republican Convention. We need good old fashioned Conservatives, the kind that believe in God, Country, and Family (the Mom and Dad kind), the kind that played football, baseball, and basketball, to help with security. This is totally separate from the organized Convention. We will meet the groups determined to disrupt the open discussion of ideas (the Convention) with a group of our own and battle them in the streets of New York if that's what it takes. We will get in their way and see if they have balls to move us. The republican convention, like the Democratic convention, is a 'Forum" for ideas. It is the democratic way of spurring debate in this Country. The protesters seek to eliminate that debate. They may state otherwise, but like everything else that comes from their filthy mouths, it's a lie. They say they merely wish to be heard. Then go out and get yourself some candidates and put together a Party...and be heard. Last I know, the "Green Party", "Environmental Party", and "Socialists' Party" are still alive and kicking. Why doesn't the Left just tell the Country (Honestly) what it stands for? Because they know that no one would vote for them. As always, the Left reveals the worst about itself at election time. The left is intolerrant. The Left is hateful. Look on any college campus and you will see how the Left feels about free speech...they don't like it. Volunteer for this worthy effort and I promise you will see some action. Are you ready to defend the right to free speech in this Country. The right for Conventioneers, who have paid the fees to gather and debate, to have that debate free of the anarchists and terrorists on the Left, than join with me in leading a defense against these marauding hordes. Let us meet them in the streets and show them who is Right!sounds like a freeper to me! "The lunatic fringe elements on the Left, who do not believe in the open discussion of ideas, will stop at nothing to disrupt the Republican Convention." and geez, that sounds more like the freepers than anyone on the left that i'm familiar with.
(This post led to a short thread by a few more tinfoilers on the hard left Yahoo group "media-squatters," in case you need a little more of a laugh.)

It is in the breaking news sidebar! |
I could not find ANYTHING he posted that provided a connection to FreeRepublic. His logic is incoherent, his grasp of evidence is non-existent, and his conclusions are deluded.
Phew, a couple of minutes on that thread and I feel like I'm covered with lice. They are delusional. But it seems to me you have to have at least some passing acquaintance with reality to be successful. On the other hand, Jimmy Carter was once our President, so maybe not.
Normally, I avoid the Ultra Left threads, the A.N.S.W.E.R. people, and of course, the ass-clowns over at DU....
...as they are an irritating, treasonous bunch (as in Ann Coulter type of treason). Look, these are the same kind of people who handed out The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion at big peace rallies last year. Natch, they're a pair of jackboots and an armband short of being good Sturmabteilungen, but there you have it.
Our opposite numbers over at DU and Whatnot remind me of my days watching the Reds at the University of Chicago back in the 1980's. We had several groups, the most colorful of which were the Young Spartacist League (everybody's favorite people, the Trotskyites, about whom many jokes were made) and the regular Angry Socialists.
But the best folks were an off-campus group of ne'er-do-wells known as the Revolutionary Communist Party. As in "Stop the Railroading of Bob Avakian!"....
Now, Avakian is a f%*king nutball, and a vain f#^king nutball, to boot. This photo above is the same photo that was pasted on billboards all over Chicago, Illinois in 1979 (look closely at any scene from The Blues Brothers in which Jake and Elwood are near a bridge abutment or an overpass: you'll see the same photo on an RCP poster). Avakian got arrested when they were throwing tear gas at the Shah and Mrs. Pahvlavi the last time they visited the White House in 1978. Thus, he got dragged into district court on a minor charge, which he summarily blew up into a cause celebre for the Leftists.
The only problem, of course, was that even the Left ignored Bob Avakian and the Revolutionary Communist Party. BTW, you can visit their temple of High Wierdness, Revolutionary Worker Online. There you'll find the Collected Works of Bob Avakian, Certified Revolutionary Nutball, Mao Tse-tung Wannabe, and Guaranteed to Be two Tall Boys Short of a Six Pack, If'n You Get My Drift.... See, reading DU or the Clown Car Lefties who populated this "rncnotwelcome" reminds me of Bob Avakian and his "Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigades".
In the forlorn hope that some of these intellectual trolls are lurking this thread, here's my response. Todays DU lefties and Kollege Klass Klowns fail to understand now what Bob Avakian didn't understand in 1980.....
As an aside, don't try to tell this to "William Rivers Pitt". Pitt would call himself "Bill Pitt" if he was a halfway decent writer, but since he's a professional left wing gas bag, he needs to use his full name to add to his own sense of self-importance.
Coming soon, the Continuing Saga of Paul Wellstone's Airplane....
Anyhoo, there are more important things in life than the "movement" to shut down the Republican National Convention. Such as...
...it's just that these people don't know it yet! And never will! Expecting wisdom and Aristotelian Dialogue out of these people is akin to putting ten thousand monkeys in a room with ten thousand typewriters; you don't get Shakespeare, but you do end up with something close to the Collected Works of Bob Avakian.
And the great thing about all this? These people make up the activist base of the Democratic Party. You just can't buy this stuff. Coulter was off base about some of the stuff in her new book, but she was definitely on the mark about these clowns. But she forgot the most important thing of all about the Lefties. Like the Left and Bob Avakian, America doesn't care what these people think.
Anyway, that's my take.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
My favorite is the link to "Fun with Freepers" by Linda Deak. Now that was hilarious!
ROFLMAO!!!! You made my day!
