Constitution Center Dedicated - Justice O'Connor Nearly Killed
CSPAN | July 4, 2003 | NordP

Posted on 07/04/2003 9:03:58 AM PDT by NordP

At the conclusion of the dedication ceremony of the Constitution Center, today, July 4th, 2003, on stage, a select few were asked to pull the red, white, and blue ribbons, pulling down ceremonial drape... What they pulled down, instead, was quite unexpected. A heavy frame surrounding a mural came crashing down right in front of the first row of these special guests at the ceremony.

Most of the democratic dead voted in Philly during the last presidential election.

My favorite was when they voted in alphabetical order for Lucien Blackwell a few years back

The fall out from what she and a few of her fellow "justices" did is reverberating around the country. Child molesters are being let out of prison all over the place!

Oh yeah? And what direction would that be? Right to zero borders, sovereignty and constitution? Both parties are cupable. Both parties are flooding the country with marxist voters.

Did a union build that substandard thing or was it rent-a-mob? Their work is no shoddier than what the SCOTUS has done to the Constitution in recent weeks.

Well, that's one tourist mecca I won't be visiting. I picture a minimum wage worker dressed up as a living, breathing Constitution & posing with children.

"Organizers said when the guests pulled on the ribbons, a screen bearing a reproduction of the signing of the Constitution was to have dropped, revealing a newer painting underneath, with some of the celebrity guests standing in the places of the Founding Fathers." Fox News Channel 7-4-03

See what happens when you play around with the Constitution? (pretending to be founding fathers) LOL. And, I'm Martha Washington while we're at it.

Justice Scalia's dissenting opinion ^, which also explains the flaws in O'Connor's constitutional logic in part V of his dissent, is an explosive indictment of the majority opinion

And of their hypocrisy.

Today's approach to stare decisis invites us to overrule an erroneously decided precedent (including an "intensely divisive" decision) if: (1) its foundations have been "eroded" by subsequent decisions, ante, at 15; (2) it has been subject to "substantial and continuing" criticism, ibid.; and (3) it has not induced "individual or societal reliance" that counsels against overturning, ante, at 16. The problem is that Roe itself--which today's majority surely has no disposition to overrule--satisfies these conditions to at least the same degree as Bowers.

Statement: " Constitution Center Dedicated - Justice O'Connor Nearly Killed"

Response: While always somewhat sceptical things like this do make one pause. If a San Franciscan hears a voice saying 'leave the city and don't look back.' He had better go!
