The Hillary FReeping started in Chicago this morning with breakfast at Svea, a sweedish restaurant across the street from Women & Children First, the gay & lesbian book store that "hosted" the Beast. I was the first to arrive followed quickly by Chicagolady, GRRRRR, Endeavor and her friend (who came all the way from Champaign), SteveA (who came down from Milwaukee), Unspun.
While everyone was enjoying breakfast, I walked over and talked to the police cheif and some officers and let them know our purpose and peaceful intent. They were happy to have us there and gave us a prime location on the corner right across from the line. The one officer said to the chief "hey, here's our loud & obnoxious protesters" jokingly and I said "we're not here to be obnoxious"...he laughed and said "can't you just be a little obnoxious?" They asked why we protested, I gave them various reasons, the one officer asked if I was a Republican, I proudly announced I was and he asked if he could join our side and I told him gladly.
After breakfast other FReepers like TheRightGuy, BillyBoy, and a few others joined us in line on our side of the street. The police were very nice to us and made comments throughout the FReep like "you guys are the only normal ones here" and "you guys are great because you don't block the streets"...we told them how much we appreciated them.
Several FReepers were interviewed by local media which included ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN, FOX & ChicagoTV in addition to radio WBBM and news papers such as the Sun Times and Chicago Tribune. We feel we all came across as normal and not overly emotional. The liberals, of course, could not stand the fact that we were using their own tactics against them. We were filmed constantly by a guy in a red floral shirt that we think was from DU but he wouldn't admit to it.
Hillary arrived in a "perky" little Katie Couric style outfit with a sweater thrown over her shoulders and left in the infamous black pant suit. We had a variety of signs and I'm sure FReepers will post pictures to follow as we get them developed. GRRRRR has some digital that will be up right away, I have film that will be posted later.
We were effectively annoying to the liberals and it remained peaceful through out....Chicagolady showed up in a Statue of Liberty costume and we all had fun. As Hiltery "left the building" we all chanted "we believe Jaunita"
We'd like to thank the Chicago PD who was very accomadating and professional.
I think it's really that her cellulite has crept up her back and is now hitting her in the shoulders.

Seeing those pictures, brings back memories from when I lived up there.
Sure dont miss the winters, but the summers were great..
Were you able to talk to anyone who got a book? Were the books pre-signed or did she autograph them there?
I look forward to seeing pictures of the event, when they are posted.
Next stop for Hillary!'s Lying History book tour, California (and Arkansas, too!)! Hopefully California and Arkansas FReepers will have as much fun as we (DC Chapter, Tri-State Chapter and Chicago Chapter - did I miss anyone?) all have had.
Free Republic is a great place to organize and publicize events such as the Hillary! FReeps, with so many members from all over the country.
Just got back home from the Chicago Freep - we all had a great time protesting the 'Beaste. I managed to stay out of Grrrrr's photo line of fire (Ha!) so here's my poster -- one side was the "Lying History" pic pictured above, and the other side of it was:
All the usual media suspects were there and they did a nice job of interviewing and shooting us. I was interviewed by a writer for Esquire Mag who is doing a story on the Her Heinous. I almost slapped him silly when he asked my age, but remembered my breeding and recovered nicely. (Lucky him.) A photog for the Chicago Sun-Times shot my poster and took my name and the Fox video guy shot both sides of the poster. Ah, 15 minutes of fame -- you can keep it.
We were all most cordial to the police and secret service.
There was one unfortunate twerp who video'd us for an entire hour - the heretofore mentioned "guy in the red flowered shirt." He refused to identify his "group" but we assume DU sent him. He looked like the roach clip type. He kept coming over to ask questions while he kept filming so we kept calling the cops on him - he didn't have the appropriate media credentials to come talk to us in the "media zone" so they ran him off several times. It was quite good fun. If any of us turn up dead in the next few weeks, please search for the "guy in the red flowered shirt."
For my friends at The Guild - Hillary! was sporting 'Ol Crusty topped off with a sky blue sweater knotted at the neck - her usual 80's attire. It was funny -- at the end of her performance just prior to her "coming out" into the rain, her people were digging in the trunk of one of the cars for an umbrella (at which point we yelled "I'm melting, I'm melting") and one of her lackies was carrying a suitbag and suitcase - I asked him if it was another 'Ol Crusty but his lips were sealed.
Oh, please note that "Her Most Conscious of the EPA" had an entourage of 5 total vehicles, two of which were SUV's. (One of the cars a lacky was using looked like they'd just rescued it from the junkyard -- no kidding, it was pretty shabby - this is the guy who was in charge of 'Ol Crusty.) She, most un-environmentally, came and left in one of the SUV's. Thank you, Hillary!, for contributing to the pollution of Chicago.
We did give her the appropriate send-off with chants of "We Believe Juanita!" while her sycophantic hangers' on clapped and cheered for her.
All in all, I think we did the DC Chapter proud. A Big THANKS to Chicago Lady for hosting us to a bar-b-que at her home after the Freep. It was great fun! To all my buds who prayed for us today - thank you and know that your efforts weren't in vain. We hit a really bad thunderstorm on the way home and the guy in front of us wiped out, shot across our path then out into the median, ricochete'd off the guard rail right back at us but fortunately came to a hault before crossing back into our lane. We played Good Samaritan and called 911 for him and went back to check on him until emergency services could get there. Thanks again, for your prayers. -- E
You were lookin' real good 'til the wind picked up and got ahold of those shower curtains.

Where are the fashion police when you need them?
That was to prevent any possible assassins who might be on top the the nearby buildings from being able to get a good shot.
Except for that one guy who asked you to hold back on your tirade against liberals. He said, "take it easy on us, a lot of us liberals can't stand Hillary either -- and I'm one of 'em."
Hysterical
BTW, you really should learn how to spell "Hillary" ;^)
