The Hillary FReeping started in Chicago this morning with breakfast at Svea, a sweedish restaurant across the street from Women & Children First, the gay & lesbian book store that "hosted" the Beast. I was the first to arrive followed quickly by Chicagolady, GRRRRR, Endeavor and her friend (who came all the way from Champaign), SteveA (who came down from Milwaukee), Unspun.
While everyone was enjoying breakfast, I walked over and talked to the police cheif and some officers and let them know our purpose and peaceful intent. They were happy to have us there and gave us a prime location on the corner right across from the line. The one officer said to the chief "hey, here's our loud & obnoxious protesters" jokingly and I said "we're not here to be obnoxious"...he laughed and said "can't you just be a little obnoxious?" They asked why we protested, I gave them various reasons, the one officer asked if I was a Republican, I proudly announced I was and he asked if he could join our side and I told him gladly.
After breakfast other FReepers like TheRightGuy, BillyBoy, and a few others joined us in line on our side of the street. The police were very nice to us and made comments throughout the FReep like "you guys are the only normal ones here" and "you guys are great because you don't block the streets"...we told them how much we appreciated them.
Several FReepers were interviewed by local media which included ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN, FOX & ChicagoTV in addition to radio WBBM and news papers such as the Sun Times and Chicago Tribune. We feel we all came across as normal and not overly emotional. The liberals, of course, could not stand the fact that we were using their own tactics against them. We were filmed constantly by a guy in a red floral shirt that we think was from DU but he wouldn't admit to it.
Hillary arrived in a "perky" little Katie Couric style outfit with a sweater thrown over her shoulders and left in the infamous black pant suit. We had a variety of signs and I'm sure FReepers will post pictures to follow as we get them developed. GRRRRR has some digital that will be up right away, I have film that will be posted later.
We were effectively annoying to the liberals and it remained peaceful through out....Chicagolady showed up in a Statue of Liberty costume and we all had fun. As Hiltery "left the building" we all chanted "we believe Jaunita"
We'd like to thank the Chicago PD who was very accomadating and professional.
We had a fine time. The bookstore is located in "Andersenville" a little neighborhood on North Clark street, north of the city proper. Just check out the bookstore window...if you squint, you can see my reflection.
After breakfast, we went across the street to our assigned Freeping position, just a few feet across the street from the line of Hilliryites that were already forming at 0900hrs. This mom and her daughter
were quite intent on observing us, perhaps Mom was telling her that we were "Republicans and they want to starve you to death?"
On prominant display
were several cases of Her Heinous' book, selling NOT like hot cakes since most of the Hillary Fan Club had brought their own, most likely from WalMart for $12.99....
HERE we are, in our Freeper Line
There were lots of media there, here
RightGuy gets interviewed by a local FoxNewsBabe and
ChicagoLady gets hit on by ABC...
The funniest thing about standing around in a shower curtain is that people think you might be a bit looney...at least that's what these ladies thought
Hillary arrived late as usual for a Klinton--
NOTE WELL--the BLACK Crusty Pantsuit and the blue sweater fashion statement...
Here's a CLOSEUP of her Heinous
Notice the WIDE BODY aspect ratio, this is an UNRETOUCHED foto! Speaking of retouching, how about this sign we had today...it really riled the libbies.
This T-shirt
was worn by a guy who didnt want his face shown, but his wife
gave me a long blast about Bush not being her favorite President. She cussed and cussed and her cool headed hubby tried to get her to stifle but she kept it up.
Another guy kept harassing and at the end, he was stepping off and yelled Bush Sucks and gave us the double fingers of DemoDoom...quite funny actually...I started walking after him to challenge his assertions but he scampered off like a coward... Our repertoire of chants was quite varied, we came up with the sing-songy LIAR-LIAR-LIAR and Hey, what color are Hillarys eyes today? RED!! Also, when we did the long and loud BLEATING of the lambs, the libbies really became confused...SHEEPLE they are!
We had a few malcontents try to come up and provoke us with the Lib Line of the Day...You must be Republicans cause you look like idiots, Why do you hate Hillary?Bush sux or Where are the WMDs, but for the most part, they simply stood in line, clutching their books of the betrayed victim, their idol, HILLARY!
Right at the end, it began to rain. One of Klintoons lackeys
came running out of the store, saying We need an umbrella!! With some urgency, he dug through the trunk and pulled one out. Quck thinking by yours truly, You need a bigger one...brought guffaws from the cops. One cop said we were the only normal ones there today... Heres a shot of the SUV loving liberal Hitliary Radbottom leaving the scene of the crime
A GRRRRReat time was had by all...
Isn't it great being right?
Will see how much makes the air, am loading up VCRs now for the evening news cycle. Fox promised to air our stuff at 5 and again at 9PM.
Great FReep, great company, great spirit, and great to see some fresh FReeper faces.
Nope. Like most things we hurled their way, they can't answer them without lying...
I just saw YOU on fox 32, awesome TheRightGuy, and a Freerepublic sign also!
When I had the pleasure to FReep her heinous in DC I also noticed her admirers mostly ignored us and seemed to just want to meet any celebrity, not HRC specifically.
