[history]
Phoenix - Gov. Janet Napolitano on Thursday used an appearance before a largely Hispanic audience to veto a bill to require Arizona voters to show identification to cast regular ballots at polling places.
Republican supporters of the bill said it would prevent voter fraud, but Napolitano told the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials that it would deter voter participation.

(Stop the invasion. Put the military on the borders, round up illegals, and tell Fox to shove off.)

The RATS depend on confused, marginal and phony voters. This Napolitano flipping sucks. There is no honor left in the 'cRAT party. Only a gnawing hunger for power. These jackasses are always failures in the private sector so they crave public sector power. Will do whatever it takes to seize it.
Yep, "seize" just like the commies of old in Russia and elsewhere.

"In Arizona, we want people to vote," said Napolitano.... and it helps if they are illegal voters, she may as well have added.
In fact, most illegals vote solidly for Democrats. They give them the most "free" things.
Arizonians have sown the wind and will reap the whirlwind - along with the rest of us deluded saps who still consider ourselves honest citizens!

Perhaps the matricula card would be just the ticket she would like to see for ID.

Who cares? It doesn't matter who we vote for any more. The Supreme Court makes our laws for us.
To: Tancredo Fan
They have to identify voters. How can not doing this be legal?

I can't vote because I was caught with some marijuana as a stupid kid, but illegal aliens can vote.
Something is wrong here.

The legal citizens of Arizona better get a handle on this before they are a minority at the voting booth and the illegals make the legals illegal.
They better do it soon.

but Napolitano told the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials that it would deter voter participation. Right, sister. That's why banks, video stores, liquor stores, and any establishment that requires ID when you use your credit card are soooooooo hurting for business cuz all that ID checking 'deters participation'.

Napolitano told the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials that it would deter voter participation. Does showing an ID when you use a credit card deter using a credit card? NO, it deters criminal acts!
Does showing an ID to get a library card deter use of libraries? NO, it deters criminal acts! Does showing an ID when you board an airplane deter flying? NO, it deters criminal acts!
Get the message???? That's why we want ID's shown when you vote!

Why not go ahead and try to vote next time, without ID, at a heavily-democatic precinct? ;-)
