Tim Hutchinson was defeated for reelection last November by Mark Pryor. If Asa runs and beats Lincoln, he'll be the second Hutchinson brother to serve in the Senate, but they won't be serving concurrently. Asa actually followed his brother to the House when Tim vacated the 3rd District to run for the Senate in 1996.

Estrada and the Supreme Court is why Asa needs to run...
Freepers, rather than waiting to see what happens with Estrada, we need to take the lead. That means presuring Senators, special interest groups, media organizations, etc. This thread is meant to be an ongoing effort to get this man confirmed. For too many years liberals have had their way on the courts. Now, President Bush is in a position to move the courts to the right. The election of '02 showed that the country is with the President. I think it's time to let Daschle, Hillary, and Pelosi know this is Bush country. Are you with me! Let's FREEP these people.

As he is at least halfway conservative the white house probably wont ask him to run.
Here in Illinois the white house has asked every butt kissing RINO in existence to run for Fitzgerald's seat, but they wont support any true conservative that wants to run, saying they are unelectable

Uhh, Miss Blank just won re-election this year.
