A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Oh yeah.....real calm LOL. I think it all started when the basement flooded....called Kathey (you met her) and she came and helped me rescue the basement. That took us a day and half the night. Then she came and helped me clean house. What a jewel she is. She has agreed to help me out every other week on Thurs. and I will pay her. She didn't want me to pay her, but I insisted. She says it gets her away from the house and kids (she babysits) for a day. With her here I am getting things done. Yesterday I painted a whole room by myself...ceiling, walls and trim. I'm going to get the whole inside of the house painted before long.

Have had a couple of funerals, two gospel sings and lots of Tourism Committee meetings. I'm thinking of working up a monologue and a character to greet the tourists who arrive by boat. Coming up a gospel concert and a bluegrass festival next week-end. Then on the 13th- 20th is my camp meeting. That will be an exhausting week, and the evangelist stays with us. Then I'm praying that we can go to North and South Carolina the next week. Maggie and I are planning a day together and I have a brother in N.C. Then on Aug. 4th the county fair starts. We will have a booth there that will have to be manned all week. Am I tired yet?
