[history]
Hordes of quivering GOP lawmakers and vast throngs of proudly homophobic right-wing Christian Americans fell into an adorable tizzy the other day as the entire really, really big country of Canada announced it will change its law to allow full-on homosexual marriage anywhere in the whole country including Vancouver and Toronto and even "that weird province with all the gay French people."

Ew.

He's awful. And I live in SF. His writing alone with adjective upon adjective of shite is appalling.
And he hates xtians and all religious people.

Maybe you should consider that many are unhappy due to the efforts of people like you in your character assassination as well as attempts to deny their pursuit of happiness as far as a "lifestyle" is concerned.
A "free" country should theoretically account for various types of relationships found throughout the world's cultures and religions. The fact that the majority of American citizens follow a specific religion should not have legal bearing on those citizens who believe something else. When a majority rule passes legislation reflecting religious opinion, it's not exactly a free country anymore.
Just think, in a hundred years what might happen should a large influx of Muslim immigrants become the majority and start forcing their religious beliefs down your throat!
The bill of rights along with the separation of church and state was designed to prevent these clashes and allow everyone their own space to live their own lives as they pleased, more or less.
Seems to me that much of the conservative/liberal struggle these days is between those who wish to force their religious beliefs onto the entire population through legislation -vs- those who still believe in the original intent of the writers of the constitution and the bill of rights.
Just because one person wants to live a certain way does not mean you are compelled to follow. This is supposed to be a free country. Is it?

This from someone who bashed Christians, conservatives, the Bush administration, and heterosexuals. Tolerant indeed.
If it keeps him from kicking one small puppy it's worth it.

A "free" country should theoretically account for various types of relationships found throughout the world's cultures and religions. Can you point to one historic civilization that embraced same sex marriage? Saying that the Dutch accept this now (or the Canadians) does not prove the point of "the world's cultures and religions". How long does something need to be an accepted practice to meet that criteria? One generation (25 years)?

Yeah, I noticed this from a couple of his articles. And, I realized that he (along with many other people in the world) have come to equate Christianity with tolerance.Tolerance was a label the liberals put out in order to make conservatives feel bad and keep their mouths shut.
But, if he (they) were to read the Good Word (try King James Version for example), he would realize that even though we are suppose to be compassionate, we are also suppose to reprove our brethern if they are in sin. You know, go and sin no more type of thing?
I hope to hear very soon that Rush, O'Reilly, or Hannity has taken him on to show how awful he really is. He is just as guilty of what he accuses Pro-American, Christians, conservatives of. He is just spreading fear, hate and anger in the homosexual community.

Very good point. Besides where do we stop? I am sure perverts and pedophiles would love for us to accept their lifestyles.

Beach, in my opinion he can't write. Even if he was a writer that is right leaning that kind of unclear writing is unreadable and incoherent.
I'm not sure, but he may be trying to imitate (poorly) Hunter S. Thompson. HST does a much better job at this kind of writing, is comprehensible and a libertarian AFAIK (as far as I know).
Far more palatable.
To: I_Love_My_Husband
oh yeah, that was obvious in his email response back to me.

OK, the author thinks he's clever and he really is not, but this one quote shows the real issue behind homosexuality and, for that matter, fornication and adultery.
Moreover, they fear, Canada's decision means the God-given sanctity of tepid hetero missionary-position marriage is utterly doomed and our innocent children are sure to become fans of modern dance and maybe even old Barbra Streisand movies, and all of this will undoubtedly result in the introduction of a pair of wacky gay Canadian neighbors on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Western civilization is sick, and one symptom is that good sex is no longer a natural outgrowth of selfless love, good sex is now a very selfish activity that must be new and improved to be acceptable. It must be gymnastic, sweaty, thunder filled, lightning flashing, fireworks producing and, above all, personally fulfilling as the greatest thing that ever happened to me or I'll go find another partner.
News flash: the thing that makes the missionary position special is that you can look your lover in the eye while sharing the most intimate moment that G-d gave man with her. If that isn't important to you, you don't know what good sex is.
Shalom.

The sexual revolutionaries also think that all love must lead to sex. I guess that they can't have a deep love for their parents, grandparents, children, neighbors, friends, etc.

I love my dog.
I love my wife.
I love my mother.
I love applie pie.
I used the same word, "love", in all four sentences but I better d*!@ well not have meant the same thing all four times.
Shalom.
