It's Back! Garofalo on Scarborough Country Tonite!
Posted on 06/20/2003 5:49:08 AM PDT by jonalvy44
Friday Nite 10PM EST Garofalo Alert!
It's Back! Tonite on Scarborough Country MSNBC, America's favorite ex-celebrity turned unemployed social malcontent Janeane Garofalo will be making an appearance on the show. From the info provided by Scarborough, it does not appear that Ms. Garofalo will be apologizing to President Bush as promised. Isn't it ironic that despite her allegations of a vast right-wing conspiracy to silence her, she's still getting plenty of air time?
She's also featured in an article in the Summer 2003 Ms. Magazine where she says:
"Why should I apologize?" she said when we spent an afternoon together at a coffeehouse near her Greenwich Village apartment. "We have more looting than liberation. We protected the Ministry of Oil but not the treasures of the National Museum. We have photographs of a statue brought down and an Iraqi kissing a soldier, but meanwhile where are the weapons of mass destruction, where is democracy? So, no, I'm not apologizing, and I'm not letting them shut me up."
http://www.msmagazine.com/june03/hawkes.asp
(Our note---we wonder if she will admit that the Museum of Antiquities WAS NOT ACTUALLY LOOTED? and DOESN'T THE STREET PROTESTS IN IRAQ SEEM TO REPRESENT FREE SPEECH AND DEMOCRACY IN ACTION? or maybe she'd prefer a return to the days of rape and murder under Saddam where people could not protest freely?)

I wish Scarborough wouldn't give her any additional exposure!
I now frequently watch Scarborough rather than the Fox continuous Lacy Peterson serial.

Garofalo is afraid to meet the Big Kahuna again.
He cleaned her clock.
And it was fun to watch.

Neither will we. I'm sick and tired of her getting all this free publicity and air time. What's the matter with Joe anyway? enough is enough. He had her on, why again? I'm becoming disheartened with it all.
To: TomGuy
It was, huh!! I wish they'd bring back on for a little more of a pummeling. It's actually fun to watch, esp. when they say the VRWC is trying to shut them up, as they get more air time! haha

I don't know, I just report the facts! haha
it should be fun to watch. maybe she'll mention how the VRWC cancelled her ABC sitcom. One thing is clear...she's not getting a penny of my money!!

I now frequently watch Scarborough rather than the Fox continuous Lacy Peterson serial. They REALLY need to give this a rest. They used to confine it mainly to daytime and Greta's show, but now it never ends.
It's important to the family, and I know I sound hard-hearted, but I don't exactly see how one dead pregnant woman should dominate the airwaves.
There are important issues of national importance that aren't getting full coverage because of news alerts on Scott's latest hair style.
To: cubreporter
Well, you've no doubt seen the ad where Chris Matthews talks about how Joe just has his own opinions and just likes to present views to create debate (controversy?). He's a rather pompous guy who's getting on my nerves. I'm having trouble finding any talking head that isn't annoying.

A list of anti-Bush/America Hollywood celebrities and entertainers so you can boycott them if you wish. Apparently the boycotting is working. Oscar ratings were down 25% from last year Dixie Chick sales are down 52% West Wing is down 20% Just making you aware of the list of celebrities who did, and continue to use their celebrity status to push their anti-Bush/American beliefs on the rest of the world. They are entitled to their opinion and each of us are entitled to spend our dollars where we want.

Joe should do a show on his own record, this guy appears to be the Gary Condit of the republican party.

I think it helps highlight the loonacy of the leftists. At least, she won't be babbling for the whole hour.
It sure beats the never ending "Peterson lawyer brawel" on Greta's program. Thank God that Joe came along...

Judging from this thread, I'm in the minority, but I want to watch this show. I want to see her confronted with the fact that the museum wasn't looted. I want to see her held accountable for the things that she said. I want to see her squirm when she's asked if she would prefer to see Iraqi children returned to prison and the people go back to being raped and tortured. I want to see her try to tell the American people that the Iraqis do not deserve freedom of speech -- well, freedom, period.
This should prove most uncomfortable for Ms. Garafolo. She deserves to be in the hot seat.
As for this getting her free publicity, yes she's better known now than she was this time last year, but she's mostly reviled and I don't believe that her new notariety will earn her any money. On the contrary, I think that it will be harder for her to earn money in her chosen career.
Don't get me wrong, I don't wish her any harm, but she has certainly brought this on herself.

Joe should do a show on his own record, this guy appears to be the Gary Condit of the republican party. I did a little bit of research on this. Other than leftist smear jobs, the only info that I found was that an employee died of natural causes while in his offices. She was there early in the morning before other employees arrived and was found dead when the other employees came in.
I found a few sites where leftists used a lot of inuendo to imply that there was an affair and that he murdered her, but no evidence at all was offered. Just a lot of pathetic wishful thinking.
