derail trains? Hmmm... Remember about a year ago it seemed like every other week a train would jump off the track. It was considered tin foil to wonder if there was any terrorist involvement. It was all just the heat bending the track.
What happened then is that FReepers with actual functioning brain cells looked up the statistics and there had been no actual increase in train derailments over the long-term average.

Thse Freepers with functioning brain cells were obviously part of the train-derailment conspiracy.

Sounds reasonable. I guess the media just got tired of reporting on train derailments?

Ultra lights?
Remember the articles about Salem Bin Laden, the oldest brother of Osama, who crashed into power lines in Texas?
The connection between James Bath and BBCI and Bin Ladens and George Bush?
I remember a couple of years ago asking freepers if Osama was gonna spray me with anthrax while I was watering my tomatoes from his ultra light.
Perhaps I've passed this joker on the highways of Ohio.
Who are his other Ohio jihadists?

i didn't say it makes it all better. i said the article said the guy wasn't going to 'blow up the brooklyn bridge'. lets leave using that sort of hyperbole to the liberal media.

Squeeze all the information out of him .... then release him into the general NYC prison population... and make sure he has a big hand-on welcome when he steps off the bus.

Speaking of remembering...does anyone remember something about, I believe it was, sadam hussein's stepson trying to cross the U.S.-Canadian border into the U.S. right after 911? Does anyone recall that? My facts may be skewed because I remember vaguely. Many folks were saying that the stepson loathed sadam, so no one was worried.
To: Donna Lee Nardo
You got me on that one!
Have you googled the terms "Sadam" "stepson" "border" ?
Keep us posted on it, please.

A government statement of fact filed along with the guilty plea said that Faris, also known as Mohammed Rauf, was instructed by a senior Al Qaeda operative to obtain "gas cutters" equipment that would enable him to sever the cables on "a bridge in New York City," believed to have been the Brooklyn Bridge. Faris was told to refer to the cutters as "gas stations" so that eavesdroppers would not get wind of the plot. Good. I'll tell hubby I can safely pump gas again. :)

I've noticed that these al-Qaeda whacks always plead guilty or do everything they can to be found guilty in court after they're caught. It must be part of their training. If they're caught, they have a real good future as an al-Qaeda recruiter in prison. Living in an American prison is probably a lot better than returning to their home country anyway.
Convicted terrorists shouldn't live in American prisons. They and the rest of the convicts should have to live in a tent city in Death Valley, CA.

A person just flat out doesn't know, does one? This is horribly scary.
Good job on nabbing this idiot.

An Ohio truck driver worked directly with Al Qaeda terrorists in a plot to derail trains in the United States and sabotage a bridge in New York City, believed to be the Brooklyn Bridge, Attorney General John Ashcroft said Thursday as he announced the man's guilty plea to two felony charges.
Clearly, the truck driver has more class than the Clintons do.
To: soccermom
But he is only getting 20 years max.
