One of my parents neighbors (a firefighter, who was the brother of a guy I went to high school with) was lost in the collapse of the South Tower and hasn't been identified yet.

For his family's sake, I hope he is someday.

Lets also put this into context. the WTC certainly was a tragedy, but we lose 3000 American lives each day due to abortion. Still, our population increases by 3000 each day or two due to immigration, regardless of 3000 dying daily. Yes, it was bad, but 3000 people dying did not cause this economic depression we are in. We are not fighting in Iraq because of the 17 people who did this, because most of them(14) were Saudi's from Saudi Arabia, not Iraqis. Too many people are trying to put all the blame of everything, the war, and the economy, on the WTC incident, and on Iraq.

rian Hickey, a firefighter. Hickey was identified on what would have been his 49th birthday, and exactly a year after his family laid to rest a coffin that held his crushed, dirt-caked helmet -- then, the only sign of him found in the ruins.

How heartbreaking, and God bless them for working so hard to bring him home to his family. The article is so sad, stating that one body was found in 200 pieces! The horror of it all, and to think, there are those who are screaming about the war on terror!

The memorial committee has just been chosen, according to last weekend's news reports, to develop a 9-11 memorial at the Pennsylvania crash site. Four relatives of the crash victims were on the board that interviewed the candidates.

I'm looking forward to details of how to contribute.
