[history]
Gay and lesbian groups said yesterday that the Catholic Church, under siege for the clergy abuse scandal, lacks the moral authority to mobilize parishioners against same-sex marriage. They are urging parishioners to walk out of services if priests voice the church's opposition to same-sex unions and to boycott church collections.

I think it's a great idea for the rest of us to invest in a piece of real estate for the homosexuals and their sycophants. Sahara acreage is a bargain.

I get a kick out of these actively homersexual types who continue to call themselves Catholic. It is like a person calling themself a tree.....guess they haven't read TITUS 2:12 It teaches us to say"No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age!

I think this a mute point, I've never heard a homily against homosexuality. Oh No?! That's too bad. Come to my parish. My pastor and I preach it at least once a week. :^)
To: ThomasMore
Where's your parish?
How can you preach on it every week?

You're the one who expressed an opinion that pornographers are safe under rocks.

The Nazi Party formed in 1919. Besides this book, what is the source that in 1919 they met in a gay bar.

Why yes I did, if a rock has supernatural powers for you I can understand your need to think so.

The loss of credibility suffered by the Church as a result of the pederasty scandals by some priests, gives rise to anti-Catholic articles like this. I agree with the Churchs outspokenness against homosexual marriage, but if the bishops wish to regain some measure of credibility, I believe they must first make a simple statement: HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE PRIESTHOOD". I applaud Cardinal Bevilaqua of Philadelphia on his outspokenness on these issues.

If they don't like Christianity nor want to follow their rules they are perfectly free to start their own religion. In many ways, they already have. It is the modern form of paganism known as Secular Humanism. They are now out to make it the official religion of the U.S. demonizing everything Christian, and outlawing the open public expression religious beliefs. Their mantra about the separation of church and state is a thinly disguised effort to see that only these secular pagan elites are able to express their beliefs.

You simply can not talk about someones right to free speech when you telling anyone that disagrees with you to shut up.The 1st amendment only inhibits the gov't from telling you to shut up. The Church can't arrest you. They can only disassociate themselves from you. Ever heard of the right to free association? It's in the 1st amendment.

''The concern I do have is we are talking about civil marriage, not religious marriage,'' said Holly Gunner, a board member of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts.

As a deacon, I preach 1 to 2 daily Masses per week, as well as once to twice a month for Sunday Masses. Between my pastor and I, we preach on the evil of active homosexuality, either in the active or passive voice, at least once a week. That's only four or five times a month, and I know we preach on it as well as abortion, contraception and other evils often. Of course, our homilies are very positive as well, promoting the virtues and living virtuous, holy lives (besides the negative precepts).
God Bless,
TM

I've been pretending that I've been talking to someone brighter than a piece of wood, so it will be easy to keep on pretending. A piece of wood has more syllogism than a pornographer posting on a Catholic thread concerning the churchs moral authority.

A piece of wood has more syllogism than a pornographer posting on a Catholic thread concerning the churchs moral authority.Which is more immoral, pornography or raping children and covering it up? Saying both are immoral does not answer the question by the way, so don't bother trying that. Can you answer the question?

Adults who believe that God is spitting lightning bolts at evil doers are operating at a distinct disadvantage.

and you think because your depravity is less immoral than child sex abuse gives you any credibility commenting on how the Church should handle their problem with homosexual pedophiles? (I guess the rapist can look down on the murderers too, LOL
shame on you Mr. murderer Im not as bad as you are!) Hehehe
Stop it please youre killing me
bwahahahaa

Well were all glad you recognize yourself as an evil doer, at least its a step in the right direction
but that whoosh you heard flying over your head was my metaphor of slimy invertebrate types that slither from rock to rock for fear of something bigger in the food chain swooping down to pray on them. But then again, I can understand you evil doers pretending youre safe in the light.
To: Clint N. Suhks
You're the first non-sinner I've ever met. You must be a god of sorts. You handle your lofty position with such grace as you look down from the clouds deciding who is less moral than yourself. Toss some lightning bolts my way. It doesn't matter. I'm certainly safe in the dark or the light from buffoons such as yourself.
People who laugh at their own statements, especially in print, always seem awfully pathetic by the way. In this case pathetic seems quite accurate.
