This tactic has always struck me as being extraordinarily immature. If you don't want to support them, don't make them!

I just wrote this on another thread.....

I hear the girls who get pregnant get that way from men in their early twenties.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And you know, this is just another sticking point with me. People need to choose carefully who we marry. If a man is boring or mean before you married him, he is going to be after as well. So many women my age, (late 30's early 40's) ditch these men, rape them for child support and go on to a happy little life while the kids have to kiss daddy goodbye.
Girls with good daddies have less of a chance of teen sex than those that don't. Stupid women, look at who you are marrying. If you don't like him before the wedding, you'll hate him in 5 years. No one changes, you didn't. If you find yourself in a boring marriage, wait until your daughter is out of school then divorce. I understand if your hubby is beating you but if he was a player before, he'll be a player later. Understand that once you have given birth to those children, you are in it for the long haul. You may be divorcing a man you no longer like, but those kids love him. No other man will take his place.
Yes, this man made two babies in two different marriages but anymore I see more women throwing away their husbands. Too boring, too cheap, spends too much money, whatever. They can do this because they can get child support sooo easily.
There are deadbeat dads but there are deadbeat moms to. We rarely hear about them.
People please THINK before you procreate.
Where's the "Bite Me" Alert?
slackers!
Any man; and I use the term gingerly, who will consent to making a precious child but refuses to care for the child properly; that includes having to be ordered to care, does not deserve a days rest. If their conscience is so seared that they have to be told to care for their own flesh and blood then I see no redeeming qualities in such a "man".
This is the system that Dr. Chang is fighting. It isn't about reducing welfare expenditure. The money he owed is for support of his daughter from his first marriage. She is now 20 years old (an adult) and studying pharmacy at Rutgers University.No father should have to pay to support a 20-year-old unless he wants to. It's a damned dirty system that mandates otherwise.
The child support system via Friend of the Court is a typical government abomination!
I am a pension specialist for my company and I know of several individuals who are now victims of the system. One who is an employee who was forced to pay child support (which he willingly did) for a daughter for at least a year following her enlistment in the military.
Another individual who is only receiving approx. $895.00 permanent and total disability benefit who has to pay $800.00 to the mother of his children and he now has custody of both of them!!!! This has been going on for over a year and a half now and the worst part is he couldn't afford an attorney to get this straightned out.
Fortunately, last month he met an atty. who was willing to help him out free of charge......
The Friend of the Court is your typical bloated, overrated government system that has no accountability to anyone whatsoever.
Oh yeah women who file for divorce file for absolutely no good reason. They're all trying to bankrupt the ex because they're gold diggers. Yeah right!
If you don't want to take the risk. Don't marry don't have children. Nothing in life is risk free.
I don't think men understand what it's like to be a female. If men think they have it hard. Women have it 10 times harder.
Very simple solution to this one. Don't marry anyone, and don't fool around.
I am 31 and have been engaged before. Of course, she left me with 10 minutes notice one day, and that was that.
If we'd been married, and I'd had kids with her, I'd be paying for the next several years, and probably only rarely see my kids.
The divorce laws and child support laws are stupid, and most women that I know would or do exploit them unscrupulously. Even if you find one that wouldn't, you don't know that until you try.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to be married with a family, but I don't see it happening. That's a pretty stupid risk to take, in light of how it has turned out for several of my friends.
When you get lonely, is that an excuse to gamble with half of your life's savings? Is it worth gambling with any children that you may have?
It amazes me that women get upset if you should suggest a prenuptual agreement. Of course they would. It is easy to be upset when you think you can't split and take half my stuff, no questions asked.
Everyone makes choices in their lives and must pay the consequences for those choices. There is an easy solution to this problem: Make better choices. How do you make better choices? Follow God's plan for your life. How do you know God's plan for you? Read his Word and talk to him often.
I don't see anywhere in this article where it states why the Dr. is in the situation he is in. I used to work in this field an I can tell you it sounds like he is in arrears on the original court order and is therefore in contempt of court. If so, I'll bet the arrearage started when his first daughter was younger and the fact that this daughter is 20 years old an in college does not forgive those arrears. Also, the fact that he has another daughter does not forgive them.
That being said, I agree that the system is grossly unfair to men and I agree with everything else the article said.
The child support enforcement program is a diseaseWhat's amazing is that most on this site would never, everaccept alcoholism or gambling as a disease because it negates responsibility on an individuals part but this they champion as a 'disease'. Disgusting.
Someone in his economic position would normally be able to raise two children in reasonably good style. Maybe. If here weren't a two time loser and supporting three households. Still, I understand where he is coming from.
>>>>states enrolled as many men as they could and arbitrarily increased the amount they were ordered to pay.
Now this statement is interesting.
I live in North Carolina for a number of years (as well as a few other states). I was part of a volunteer program to serve rural areas.
One of my "requests" (Political word for 'jobs') was to sit in on the County Extention programs when available. These programs I sat in on were 'place holder' positions. The more people they had sitting, ensured that they could receive government grant monies.
The programs were for the welfare recipients to receive checks, food stamps, program access, et al. HOWEVER, the recipients had to sit in on these programs to teach them how to cook, shop, build a life.
So, I just associated that with the above quote, "states enrolled as many men as they could and arbitrarily increased the amount they were ordered to pay." that was mentioned.
Seems there are lots of ways to receive money whether justified or not.
