Shocking: Clinton's Editor Questions Memoir's Credibility: "Did you make half of that stuff up?"

An editor working on ex-President Bill Clinton's memoirs has raised questions about the veracity of his account after reading the book's first draft.
"Did you make half of that stuff up?" the editor asked, according to Clinton's own admission during a ceremony at his Little Rock presidential library on Friday.
In little-noticed comments covered by the Associated Press, the ex-president revealed the unnamed editor's skepticism, saying, "When I first showed my editor the drafts of my memoirs, he said, 'Boy you've got a lot in here about Arkansas.'
"And I said, 'Well read it before you cut it out.'"
Then Clinton revealed, "He read it and said he laughed and cried and hooted and hollered and he said, 'Did you make half of that stuff up.'
"And I said, 'No it really happened that way.' "
In 2001, Knopf Books won the bidding war for Clinton's memoirs with a reported $12 million advance.
The ex-president's editor isn't the first to doubt his truthfulness. In 1999 Clinton was fined $90,000 and held in civil contempt for providing false and misleading answers to U.S. District Court Judge Susan Webber Wright, who presided over Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit.
A year before, Clinton became the first elected president in U.S. history to be impeached after he gave false testimony to a federal grand jury probing his attempts to obstruct justice in the Jones case.

Clinty was in Las Vegas, trolling for dollars last week. According to Fox 411 on the Fox News website on Friday,Clinty had some amazing things to say,to the young blacks gathered-after paying 50 dollars for the priviledge of seeing Clinty for a few minutes. He's become the kind of person who charges for an autograph.
" ..the event was pitched toward young, upwardly mobile African Americans."
"Clinton told the audience that his Web site, which is now up and running, will soon offer his take on news events as they happen. "Now you'll know what's really going on," he promised. "Since you're not told that often these days."
Clinty tells his audience of apparently educated young blacks, that they haven't been "told" the truth about current events, but, now that his website is running-they can go there and finally understand the news. How patronizing and insulting does Clinty have to get, before a black audience realizes how he is treating them? He sure does act like the Plantation owner, telling the slaves that only he can teach them about the world.Clinty never addresses a black gathering with respect-it's all shucking and jiving, cheap jokes and red faced guffaws. Imagine if Trent Lott treated black audiences, the way Clinty does.

Jayson Blair should take reporting lessons from Clinton if he wants to reach a lower depth as a lying scoundrel.... which I think is his goal.

I can't wait to read his account of seeing all those church burnings in Arkansas, or how he gave Al Gore the idea to invent the internet.
To: rs79bm
Clintoons, has never liked telling the truth, for him to
change now, would be a miracle.
Afterall, his Vice President invented the Internet, Not!
And he never had sex with that woman, Not!

Just before the video of Clinton's grand jury testomony was released, we were told he really looked bad, and how he "blow up" over some of the questions, only to be shown in control. This is just so much BS to hype the book, don't fall for it. I remember this....and how he delayed, gave long rambling speeches instead of answers and then ran out of time when a few questions from members of the grand jury were about to be asked. The Pubbies in charge of this were really stupid.

Shocking: Clinton's Editor Questions Memoir's Credibility: "Did you make half of that stuff up?"He's way too old to change those "spots". They'll have to sell the book in the FICTION DEPT., I thought that was a given, LOL.

This is another pubilicity stunt. Clinton just wants to sell books. We all know what a morally depraved man he is and until he is convicted for his crimes, I don't want to hear anything else coming out of his trashy mouth.

A senior editor at Knopf books "hooted"?
It's hard for me to imagine anyone "hooting".

Clinton's Editor Questions Memoir's Credibility: "Did you make half of that stuff up?"Actually, I believe Clinton is making up the stuff about "his editor" asking him if he made stuff up.
