Shocking: Clinton's Editor Questions Memoir's Credibility: "Did you make half of that stuff up?"

An editor working on ex-President Bill Clinton's memoirs has raised questions about the veracity of his account after reading the book's first draft.
"Did you make half of that stuff up?" the editor asked, according to Clinton's own admission during a ceremony at his Little Rock presidential library on Friday.
In little-noticed comments covered by the Associated Press, the ex-president revealed the unnamed editor's skepticism, saying, "When I first showed my editor the drafts of my memoirs, he said, 'Boy you've got a lot in here about Arkansas.'
"And I said, 'Well read it before you cut it out.'"
Then Clinton revealed, "He read it and said he laughed and cried and hooted and hollered and he said, 'Did you make half of that stuff up.'
"And I said, 'No it really happened that way.' "
In 2001, Knopf Books won the bidding war for Clinton's memoirs with a reported $12 million advance.
The ex-president's editor isn't the first to doubt his truthfulness. In 1999 Clinton was fined $90,000 and held in civil contempt for providing false and misleading answers to U.S. District Court Judge Susan Webber Wright, who presided over Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit.
A year before, Clinton became the first elected president in U.S. history to be impeached after he gave false testimony to a federal grand jury probing his attempts to obstruct justice in the Jones case.

"He read it and said he laughed and cried and hooted and hollered and he said, 'Did you make half of that stuff up.'"I don't know about this. Seems to me the reaction of any editor reading Blubba's supposed first draft of his memoirs would more likely be, "He gasped and gagged and vomited and swore and he said, 'You lying piece of crap. How dare you submit this steaming pile of excrement?'"

"In our country during the '50s and '60s, black churches were burned to intimidate civil rights workers. I have vivid and painful memories of black churches being burned in my own state when I was a child."

"I was attracted to Hillary after I saw the pictures of Lenin, Marx, and Stalin she proudly displayed in her room. I thought to myself: this woman and I together can work to bring down this capitalist society, and make it a haven for socialism. But, damn she is ugly; I can only imagine how ugly our kids will be."

Clinton will have the last say, I'm sure, after the whole thing has been 'editied' by the editor. He had the pleasure of doing the final edit for his mother's autobiography. Clinton had her saying some things that his mom would never have said. Mostly, in 'her' explanations of the character of Billy. Things that a wise-cracking, horse-race addict would never have said.
Clinton's book will be total bull crap.

Blair and Clinton are probably the same types: bright guys whose principal talent is being able to con people.

At least real bull crap is good fertilizer for the garden.

How many times are we going to fall for this technique?
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago, the story about Hillary's book, how it was not ready, no title, no nothing, then a week later it is in the book stores?
Just before the video of Clinton's grand jury testomony was released, we were told he really looked bad, and how he "blow up" over some of the questions, only to be shown in control.
This is just so much BS to hype the book, don't fall for it.
