It's still insignificant. Even continued over 10 years, we won't really realize much individually. By the way, some estimates are as high as $1 Trillion. That's only $100 Billion per year. A tiny drop in the bucket. And for people with children grown and gone, no real tax break. This was a compromise to pacify the DemocRATS, nothing more.

Does anyone have any data on who opposes tax cuts? I have a feeling that since approximately 50% of the population pay NO taxes it is those people who think we do not need one! I would like to see a poll taken with only tax payers voting; especially those paying a$1000 or more in ytaxes.

It is absolutely rigged. By dividing pro tax cut votes into two categories and leaving anti tax cut votes as one choice, they will be able to report "against tax cuts" as the winning category.

Is this true? I haven't read anything about rate reductions, are these still part of the tax cut? What exactly si the half that was cut out? I know it wasnt all the dividend tax cut because dividend taxes were cut in half and they arent that expensive anyway.

The rate reductions which passed last year, but were not to be effective until 2004-2006 (the higher tax rates) are now effective Jan 01, 03.

The rate reductions are here, child tax credit increased to $1000 per, marriage penalty eliminated, dividend taxes are cut, capital gains were cut... some of this is supposed to sunset, other than marriage penalty, can't remember which ones. Oh and there is also something about companies being able to "expense" more, but I'm not sure exactly what that means.

I just love the way the ask the question in order to split the conservative vote

It really p's me off. It looks like the majority think tax cuts are not wanted. But, if you are paying attention 2/3's support tax cuts. There is just no end to the lengths they will go to.

On an unrlelated note, I was looking for a birthday card in Target today and I noticed there were 3 cards that had Pres. Bush on the front. They all said something like, Hope you have a great birthday. Then inside they would say something like "Anything to take your mind off the economy" Has anyone else seen these cards? I was livid.

I'd bet that the dimwits who say "No. We don't need tax cuts at this time" either don't work very hard for a living, or they are non-military, gubbamint employees.
