I still cant figure out why the heck anyone would take a poll with no prompt if they "can't decide"

The media has been beating the drum all week that most people opposed a tax cut. Will MSNBC report that 56% of respondents to their online survey believe the tax cut was either just right, nor not enough?

It's not enough, but good enough for this year. Rate reductions will be accelerated on July 1st, and I have a feeling everyone will getting back a much fatter refund than expected this year.

Even though the vote was split, wouldn't it be great if we get both "yes" options above the "no" option? :)

It's meaningless to me. My children are grown, I won't see any benefit whatsoever. Just more vaporware from politicians, and an excuse to give money to people who don't pay taxes.

I can just see MSNBC reporting this tonight:

"Of 40,000 votes cast, onlh 30% believe the Bush tax cut is the right amount while 41% say we don't need it at this time. Clearly Bush isn't listening to the people"

FINE PRINT
The president can also take comfort in that the scaled-down package was written to open the door for continued tax cuts.
Some of the bill’s cuts in personal income taxes would end after 2004 and the dividend and capital gains reductions would end after 2008 — with levies then reverting to higher levels.
Politicians of both parties consider that unlikely to occur because accusations would fly about a tax increase.
“I certainly intend to enhance these improvements in coming years,” said Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.
The liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities estimated that if the tax bill’s elements were left intact for the entire decade, its price tag would be at least $800 billion.
