New Poll: Kerry Would Lose To Bush Last Poll Showed Senator With Commanding Lead
POSTED: 6:48 a.m. EDT May 21, 2003
BOSTON -- The presidential campaign of Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry received some startling news Wednesday from his own back yard.
A poll recently conducted by the research institute Mass Insight shows Kerry trailing President Bush in the race for president in the Bay State.
The poll, which involved 500 Massachusetts voters at the end of April, shows the president with a 6 percentage point lead -- the exact numbers have not been released.
This stands in stark contrast to a similar poll taken by the group in January. Back then, Kerry had a commanding 16 point lead in Massachusetts in a theoretical matchup with the president.

Don't forget he's a dumb-o-crat, so you'll have to count the people who have died on his side.

Kinda hard to walk the fence and pander to the Jewish vote AND the Irish Catholic vote, the anti-war vote AND the military vote, eh John?

Perhaps it was Kerry's make-over:
The spikes were lengthened to appeal to younger dems...

Do I remember reading on FR somewhere that those weren't even his medals? I seem to recall that, but could be dreaming, I suppose!

"I think I heard somewhere that he was in Vietnam. Can't be sure, but he may have mentioned it recently in a speech. About a hundred times."...PER SPEECH That's supposed to make us forget the phony medal-throwing incident, and his rabid hatred of his fellow Vietnam vets (except the ones who ALSO hate their fellow Vietnam vets of course)

The Irish and and Jews looked at eachother and shruged
...and said, "We're not claiming him! You take him!"
Seriously, though, as much as I like the results, a poll this early out is rather meaningless.

He lost the Irish vote, perhaps? You mean the Austrian Jewish vote in Massachusettes won't pick up the slack?

They belonged to a friend of his, supposedly. Wouldnt doubt that the "friend" is a myth and that he bought them in a pawn shop or Army/Navy store prior to the demonstration. He was also (probably) betting that the act would get him laid with some strung out hippiechick.

This will last one more month, tops. True enough, Bush's standing in MA from January to now reflects the Iraq war victory, and we all know how fleeting that is. The importance of this poll is that the other Rats can go after ketchup boy based on electability. That's been his biggest stick to use against the also-rans, this poll breaks it into toothpicks. If Rat money goes into a dozen different campaign coffers, its good for us.

Well at least Dukakis carried MA, NY, CT, and RI.

If Dizzy Dean gets the nomination I'm thinking a 49 state sweep, with him taking Vermont and D.C.

RE: Medals
Per the Honorable Bob Dornan, who was physically there at the time of the incident and recited this story at a recent DC Patriot's Rally, what Kerry claims he threw away and the medals he actually did toss are two completely different things:
Katsup Kerry claims he threw away his medal of valor/purple heart (not sure exactly which); anyway - irreplaceable or at least would have been embarrasing to try to replace after such a tantrum. What he actually threw (into the pond, I recall) were some common lower echelon medals that are easily replaced from any military PX, such as marksmanship, time of service ribbons, theatre of duty, etc.
O-U-T with the flaming hypocrite!
