Guilty - I have not posted an article in months. Can you change the title to "George W--Hottie Flyboy?"

Thank you.

Katrina always reminds me of one my early embalming jobs in college.

Too much cake on that hide!

Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey (another Upper West Sider) summed it up well when, after subjecting the photographic record of Bush's combat getup to close scrutiny, she wondered if he had stuffed "socks down the front of the jumpsuit." (My gay friend Luccio says that internet images of Bush in uniform titled "Bush's Package" are wildly popular among his friends.)

My wife has been studying pictures of both Presidents Bush long before this and notes that neither of them have any need to stuff socks down the front of their pants.

Once again, Rush is on the cutting edge of societal evolution

Bush Scoring Soccer Moms, Dems Making Fools of Themselves

May 13, 2003

One of the reasons Democrats are angry about this aircraft carrier landing is that the soccer moms have fled the Democrats and they're all a-tizzy over the way Bush looks in a flight suit. Lisa Schiffren, a conservative columnist, wrote a whole piece in the Wall Street Journal the other day, where she basically comes right out and says she wanted to rip that flight suit right off Dubya.

Yet, here are the Democrats making a big to-do over the carrier landing. Meanwhile, Patrick Leahy proudly displays himself in a flight suit on his own website, and not one media outlet sees fit to call attention to it or ask other Democrats about it.

Matt Drudge posted it on his website and so it looks like this Drudge guy is really way ahead of everybody, but the truth is that the elite guardians of the mainstream press would see that Leahy photo and not even see the newsworthiness of it, even though they are the ones acting as willing accomplices with the Democrats on raising hell about Bush's carrier landing, which is a non-story. All that adds up to is pure, unadulterated sour grapes. The Democrats don't have one person who could pull this off with credibility, including John F. Kerry, who if I'm not mistaken, served in Vietnam. Of course, I'm being facetious. He only tells us in one out of every two statements.

The Democrats are all a bunch of Michael Dukakis, Beetle Bailey types. And why? It's not the way they look. It's that on balance, the modern Democratic Party is full of left-wing wacko groups that look at the U.S. military as the great evil, as the great threat to world peace, and they've made no bones about it. So to see a Democrat landing on an aircraft carrier in a flight suit, praising the men and women of the U.S. military just wouldn't fly in most people's minds because they know the Democrats don't believe this and it would be utter hypocrisy.

The reason it works with Bush comes back to the fact that he's genuine. To a man and woman in the U.S. military, they are honored he is their commander-in-chief and on that aircraft carrier they were thrilled that he showed up to thank them. The real story here is not that Bush did the landing. The real story is not that Bush looks good in a flight suit. The real story is that each time the Democrats criticize him for it they lose respect and they lose strength within the military ranks, which include military voters, in this country and around the world. People have not forgotten that it was the Algore campaign, i.e., the Democrats back in Florida 2000 that were doing everything they could to discount absentee overseas military ballots.

Come on folks, is having Henry Waxman the front man on this the best the Democratic Party can do? They're making fools of themselves, digging themselves an even deeper hole, and, frankly, it's a joy to see.

Listen to Rush... (...explain why the Democrats are making fools of themselves) (…expand on why the soccer moms love George W. Bush)

More than you ever wanted to know about this ditzy dame:

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=1539

..."Katrina, who appears frequently on cable TV talk shows, is usually inveighing against the wealthy, and/or the Republican Party, and/or President Bush.

Comrade Katrina implies that they are attempting to make the poor poorer. Katrina wants to help the poor become richer. She is empathetic to the plight of the poor. Katrina says this and then retires to her exclusive Upper West Side multimilliondollar residence.

"....vanden Heuvel has an excellent pedigree. Her father, a wealthy lawyer, worked for JFK. Katrina is married to NYU professor Stephen Cohen (twenty years her senior). Katrina graduated in 1981, summa cum laude from Princeton with a degree in Political Science. Katrina is quite obviously not a person who is familiar with the working class. This is a person who attended elite schools. She is a person of wealth and privilege.

Yet, vanden Heuvel wants people to believe she is familiar with the working class and the poor. During a Chris Mathews’ program, Katrina stated that she lived in Harlem. Even Mathews did not believe that one and ascertained that she lived in Morningside Heights. Probably the only Harlem residents Katrina associates with are those who bring her champagne at elegant restaurants.

Is it really altruism that motivates vanden Heuvel? Or is it political power that she cravesjust as most socialists do?

On the May 21 edition of Chris Mathews’ program, vanden Heuvel said that Bush just wants to exploit what happened at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. She said that the Republicans are going to use this to enact their legislation.

Yet in a Sunday, LA Times editorial, dated November 25, 2001, vanden Heuvel and economist Joel Rogers wrote: "If anything, the war on terrorism…presents the opportunity of a lifetime. . . War raises the stakes in politics and invites consideration of wider goals… [It] also heightens social solidarity, while underscoring the need for government and other social institutions that transcend or replace the market."

These are not the thoughts of someone concerned with the common good. They are the musings of one who is exploitive.

Katrina’s antiBush/Republican/Conservative diatribes have been published in her magazine. She, along with her husband, wrote in the March edition of The Nation: "More serious, however, is the opinion spreading across Moscow's political spectrum that the Bush Administration's war on terrorism now has less to do with helping Russia or any other country fight Islamic extremism on its borders than with establishing military outposts of a new (or expanded) American empire ("a New Rome," as a leading politician's aide remarked to us) with control over the region's enormous oil and gas reserves as its primary goal."

When the price of oil increased the liberals blamed Bush. When the price of oil decreased, nobody said anything. According to liberals, Bush wants to drill for oil in ANWR. According to liberals like vanden Heuvel, Bush does everything for the sake of capitalists. Katrina vanden Heuvel thinks there is capitalist behind every tree.

Katrina vanden Heuvel is your typical limousine liberal. The hoi polloi need the Katrinas of the world to enlighten us. In fact, limousine liberal is the perfect metaphor for vanden Heuvel. Limousines are used for partying, they use resources unnecessarily, and their owners depend on the labor of others."

Not in my neighborhood, my upper west side.

Hey, Katrina, you claimed on "Hardball" that you lived in Harlem! Which one is it?

Interesting. I was hoping to see a verbal representation of the original...uh...title.

A nice red address of some sort it was. ;^)

Seriously, it's astonishing how contentless The Nation has become under her editorship.

Mind you, a lefty rag doesn't have a lot to work with.

Katrina, you ignorant slut.

Do not take out your own bisexual frustration on the President of the United States. Just because the only sort of man that would find you attractive is a hemp wearing, needle-dicked, Naderite wimp, doesn't mean that Ms. Sciffren's sexual observations are somehow less relavent than yours.

In fact, it is the twisted liberal logic that tried to convince women that Bill Clinton and Al Gore were attractive that has warped your already lurid and self-absorbed mind.

Haven't you walked through Riverside Park this spring? Checked out the running paths and soccer fields? What about the basketball courts at 92nd and Amsterdam?

They may be guys, but I bet they aren't interested in girls!
