[history]
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a longtime, high-profile civil rights activist who has criticized the University of Alabama for failing to hire a black football coach, will visit the Capitol City today to reiterate his protest.
Jackson, founder of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, recently bashed the university, saying it used "smoke and mirrors" when hiring former Alabama quarterback Mike Shula over Sylvester Croom as head coach of the Crimson Tide.

"White players, beyond the field, can expect to become coaches, athletic directors and college presidents," Jackson said in a recent statement to the media. "Blacks have no life beyond the playing field." Yo, Jesse--Sylvester Croom is the running backs coach for the Green Bay Packers.

Pssst! Hey Jesse...The Crimson Tide are NOT in Montgomery! You missed the mark by 97 miles...Go North on 65 to Tuscaloosa, then follow the signs.

This, from a race baiting, poverty-pimping, adulterous, extortionist extraordinaire, 'Toon apologist, Arafat-loving, Commie-sympathizin', POS that can't even keep his zipper up, who heads up an organization whose financial records are nothing but "smoke and mirrors"?
Yeah, baby, your values are not the least bit suspect, are they?
Stinkin' idiot, that is so fatuous that he actually thinks his opinion of anything should matter.
Pot...kettle...black, you know the rest.

"White players, beyond the field, can expect to become coaches, athletic directors and college presidents," Jackson said in a recent statement to the media. " Sure. Every white player becomes a coach or athletic director. That's why we don't even read about this hiring in the paper. Here's a plan, Jesse--you're black, so you are qualified to coach the football team. You take the job, and you win the football games or get fired and labelled a failure. Not as good a deal as your current gig, is it?

This is just more proof that racism in this country is waning and so is his power.

Just write the check now, University of Alabama, and send Jesse soft-shoeing off into the horizon.

The man's an idiot. When he first started the brouhaha about all this, he mixed up the concept of nepotism with incest. I'd just love to see him on the capitol steps screaming "this is incest".
"You shouldn't get these jobs by incest and an inheritance. You should get them based upon some track record of service," said Jackson.

I don't understand why he is doing this. How much money can he extort from the University of Alabama
I thought Jesse only protested organizations that could give him big payoffs.
To: dead
You wonder if when Jesse gets an interview with the College President he just isn't sitting behind the desk with a checkbook, and the only two questions are "How much?" and "Pay to the order of whom?".

($100,000 to Jackson's Race Inc. still makes the hiring of Shula cheap.)

"Blacks have no life beyond the playing field." C'mon Jesse, Blacks need only follow your career path to make millions and the girls, all the girls.
