Just wanted to say thank you to my father who is 84 years old today (not in good health - may not see 85). A D-Day veteran - Omaha Beach; 29th Infantry; 116 Reg; Cav Recon. Also, his unit was the first into St.Lo. He says very little about his experience other than; it had to be done & wouldn't want to do it again. His grandchildren got a bit of an idea what he saw/did after seeing Pvt. Ryan - new resoect for grandpa.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION — Working with Red Crescent volunteers, a U.S. Army sergeant watches over a crowd of women at the entrance to a food distribution site in Baqubah, Iraq. U.S. soldiers are working with the Iraqi and Saudi Red Crescent charitable organizations to distribute emergency food rations to 800 of the neediest families in Baqubah, as selected by leaders of the local Islamic mosques.
