Would be fun to use that one with various other people instead of Saddam....say Terry McCauliffe for starters. Little Tommy Daschle? John Kerry? The possibilities are endless.

"his take on this was that it was worth MILLIONS to the Navy for recruitment purposes"

Hmmmm.....maybe the Navy could be encouraged to launch that campaign, say around June or July of 2004. Hehehe...

It was EBuck who drove the wagon train to get the bill board up.

I was just a little Grampa in California donating a little money and time. Then having fun showing everyone when it went up what had happened.

Ebuck has one in Arizona now.

I have no problem with the White House making that pledge.

And if Terry really thinks he's not going to see that video again and again over the next year and a half just because the White House promised not to use it, he's even more stupid than I thought him to be...and frankly, I already thought he was shortbus material.

A neat image manipulation would be to show Dukakis in the background driving a tank over the side of the USS Lincoln during the President's speech. I only wish I was computer-savvy enough to do this....

"I have the image of Chad Fairbanks armadilloes roaming around in Old Crusty's pants!"

Any self-respecting armadillo would commit suicide before doing such a thing!

Unbelievable audacity of McAuliffe! What a toad! If it were the other way around, RATS would be milking the scene for everything it's worth and then some. Sheesh!

"This was the MOAPO, (Mother Of All Photo Ops) the Ratz know it, AND THEY CAN"T DO A DANG THING ABOUT IT!."

The reason all these great "photo ops" work for Dubya is that he is completely authentic and doesn't do any of it for the purpose of a photo op. The RATs, on the other hand, don't do anything without an ulterior motive. All their actions are contrived and it shows. The only thing genuine about the RATs is their lust for power and their hatred of the president and all that he stands for.

Lisa Schiffren has a piece, "Hey, Flyboy," in today's Wall Street Journal about how sexy women find the picture of Bush in the flight suit.

EXACTLY!

At the end of the day a woman wants a man to provide a sense of security, well being. The CINC in a flight suit says "Don't worry, I'm here to watch over you, everything is going to be all right now."

A caller to the Sean Hannity (radio) show yesterday said that her hubby was in the PR Dept. of the Navy -- his take on this was that it was worth MILLIONS to the Navy for recruitment purposes.
Caught that! ROTFL!

There was an article posted recently to the effect that Hillary has been trying to establish some credibility on military affairs, and (privately) encouraged Rumsfeld during Operation Iraqi Freedom. But the point of the military spear is a bunch of men--many of them (gasp) white. To ever affirm the military in the way GWB did, Hillary would have to unambiguously affirm American manhood. What are the odds of any Democrat doing that?

By using the military to address our security problems, Bush affirmed the value and virtue of the military. No Democrat alive has the standing to do that. The thing that's really in the Democrats' craw is the fact that where Bush has gone, no Democratic presidential contender could go--even if they were POTUS at this very moment.
