I have turned this over in my mind for weeks now, trying to decide whether to post this or not. It is SORT OF a vanity, but not entirely. I am reading a book that I was turned on to, titled The Sword of the Prophet: Islam, history, theology, impact on the world, by Serge Trifkovic. The book has a sub-title called 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam'. It is published by Regina Orthodox Press and though this is a Catholic publishing house, the book is not about Catholicism but a history of how Islam began and what some political and church leaders, both Protestant and Catholic and other religions - DO NOT WANT TO HEAR - ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF PEACE!
Far from me to recommend a book that will get your blood pressure up, but Serge takes apart this so-called religion, piece-by-piece. Read this at your own risk but if you have the chance, read it. A sample:
From Chapter 2, 'The Teaching': '......The Resurrection will be general and will extend to all creatures. Hell will be divided into seven regions, for faithless Muslims, for the Jews, Christians, various kinds of pagans, and "hypocrites." '
I decided not to relate any more passages from the book because of copyright and the fact that some of it is too violent or offensive, even for our firm beliefs here on the Free Republic. This is a bombshell book and though none of the information contained in it is new, it puts things in perspective. Muslims do not hate you because you are American - they hate you because you are non-Muslim. They are prepared to do whatever they have to do, to make the world into the one-world religion (theirs). This book is raw and unapologetic and, to be perfectly honest, GUTSY. Don't take my word for it but read it yourself.
Serge Trifkovic is a graduate of the University of Sussex in England. He received his PhD at the University of Southampton and his postdoctoral research on a State Department grant at the Hoover Institute at Stanford. He is also a regular contributor and, since 1998, foreign affairs editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture.

Muhammad, founder of Islam, was a professional soldier for a good part of his life. Does anyone know another founder of a major religion who was a soldier?
Muhammed was clearly a psychotic. Note the very convienient exceptons in Muslim law for him, he gets to take as many wives as he wants, he gets to ignore other requirements on Muslims. Too bad he didn't get some Haldol or Thorazine. Certainly would help most of his deluded followers.

Do you ever answer a question directly? Do you deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and part of the Trinity, God Himself? The term apologetic is not necessarily someone who 'apologizes' for their religion but someone who is constantly attempting to defend it.

Save it. Muslims want us to accept you and your religion as "peaceful"? Start acting like it and muck out your own stable before we are forced to.

I don't see you apologizing for Christian murderers and rapists on death row or abortion clinic bombers. Why should I apologize for them? They were created by God with free will. They made the same wrong choices that islamic murderers have. What I do, though, is pray for the 4,000 little innocent souls who are slaughtered daily in the abortuaries.

And by the way sccording to Islam there IS NO FREE WILL. All is preordained and "the will of Allah".

It depends on what part of Islam you are talking about. The Wahabbis are the fanatical and violent minority sect that spawned Al Qaida and Bin Laden. Others are as peace loving as any other people. Then perhaps you can explain why there is no freedom of religion in any Islamic country. Why are Islamics in all Arab countries subject to the death penalty for converting to Christianity?

I am, admittedly, NOT a scholar of Judeo-Christian Thought, Traditions, or Teachings, but--for the Life of me--I CANNOT SEEM to find justification in EITHER Book of the Bible for the Genocide of Infidels. NOR--despite wracking my memory for the potentially relevant Teachings--can I remember being taught that God approved of the suicide bombing of Innocents.
Perhaps I have not been privy to the "Deeper Mysteries" of Christianity of Judaism!
OR, perhaps, "Islam" values Life FAR LESS than JudeoChristian tradition.
Hmmmm.

killing and pillaging as an acceptable means of transmission of his "revelation." Plus his offspring and disciples commenced killing each other right away.
The same could be said of Christianity.
That's not only untrue, its patently offensive. The early Christians were PERSECUTED, they did not PERSECUTE.The message was always the message of love in general, and the love of God through His Son Jesus Christ in particular. There is no love in islam, who see God as a great impersonal monster in the sky who is just itching to press the smite button on you. Christianity took over Rome with this message. The fact that the imperialistic, militaristic SPQR didn't immediately renounce all of its violent ways means nothing because eventually they did. In fact, I think you would be hard pressed to find any instance of Christianity being spread at the point of a sword until AFTER the muslimes took over half the world and the Christian culture had its back to the wall. And the crusades were the Christians taking the initiative in the death struggle with islam (that we're still engaged in), rather than the raping, pillaging adventures that they are portrayed as by those that hate Christianity and would destroy it if they could.

You are my enemies. From the time of Heraclius till today. The Churches of the East converted to Mosques shows me all I need to know.

By the way, you Muslims want to not be my enemy then return the Churches you took. Start with St. Sophia. Allow a church to be built in Mecca and Medina where there used to be churches.
