White House to Sen. Byrd- 'Do It Again, Please' (USS Lincoln Complaining) [Excerpt from The Note]

One Democrat moaned yesterday as he watched the cable news programs replay hours of footage of President Bush on the carrier with audio about Democratic complaints.
'Im watching him get high fived and buzz the tower again,' the Democrat said. 'The White House should have thought of this controversy themselves!'
Democratic questions about Bush's jet landing made the front page of USA Today complete with the 'Fly Boy' photo that will have Mike Deaver smiling.
Along these lines, a Senior Administration Official told the ABC Political Unit 'The more time the President talks about defense and security issues, the more he hurts Democrats and reinforces the public's positive perceptions of the Presdient.'
'Do it again, do it again is our message to Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia.'
The Democrats are doing things to make their base happy, but alienating the center of the electorate.

A better metaphor for Byrd than shooting himself in the feet would be hanging himself, or maybe even burning a cross in his own yard.

"Just look in the sailors faces, thsoe kind of reactions cant be faked.." Just like the looks on the faces of the Iraqis who were freed. No matter what the RATs do, they just can't spin either of these situations into a negative, and the harder they try, the more pathetic and desperate they look.

"I was hoping Maxine Waters would make good on her promise and run for President!" Nah; she should pair up with Baghdad Bob as democRAT campaign advisor for the 2004 election. We will be needing the comedy.

All I know is, I hope either the White House or some of the Republican campaign committees use W's flight footage with the troops in their commercials during the 2004 campaign DESPITE the libs' pleas (threats?) that he shouldn't. Rub it in their faces - big time! Our military LOVES him and he is their leader too!

The Democrats are doing things to make their base
happy, but alienating the center of the electorate. Dumbocrat's base? What a joke. Their base is a bunch of hyphenates, liberal
has-beens, anti-American Hollyweirdos, and maybe a couple of soccer moms.

Hi Horsie. How's things WAY down yonder? Y'all may get a lot of earthquakes, but sheesh, at least you don't wake up to tornadoes coming at you!

You are more than welcome, Grampa!
If you go to my site (right below these two pics) you should be able to click "Get Origional Uploaded Picture" you will see actually two pictures. If you move your mouse off, then back on the picture, and click on the icon in the bottom right, you'll get an even larger pic.
I forgot to add that in my 228. There are also some pics from Jacksonville, Fla.

I think our best political ads before the next election would be having a split screen with Dubya doing all the things he's done best on one side (he is incredibly photogenic) and on the other show various clips of raving RATs...maybe alternate some of Dubya's great quotes with some classic whining RAT quotes. Let them speak for themselves. That would really get their panties in a wad. What are they gonna do; accuse us of lying?

What is great is that we can do that ourselve without waiting for someone else.
Some of our freepers have great websites with these picture of GW. Then we can add your suggestion to make it even better.
I have to run to a meeting. Your idea/tactic is great!

Have you ever considered running for school board? Actually, I did once. I came in second out of five. That's probably just as well. I have a friend who managed to get himself elected one time. He could never understand the issues he was supposed to be voting on, especially not the budgets -- and this was a very diligent guy with an IQ of about 160 who was the manager of a brokerage office.

I'm sure that FReepers could come up with some great pairings of pictures and quotes. Heck, we could start our own ad campaign....get a collection of of them and run them off on flyers and get them out EVERYWHERE!
