Hi Everyone.
Does anyone know how the airman flying with Bush were chosen? I find this to be such a high honor!
This reminds me a bit of Bush the elder parachuting a few years back.
What a happy occasion today is.

Ha! Loved the cartoon in Post #54 with the military guys thumbing their noses at the Sink Emperor as he salutes them!

Can you imagine how giggling, excited, HIGH, President Bush must be feeling about this? He deserves it. He really, really does! But don't we have a kewl President? And the military guys flying him, how excited THEY must be??? And all the rest, who'll be on the Lincoln? I know they all love serving under President Bush. He's been such a boost to their morale (and the increase in their pay didn't hurt, either)!

I'm sitting here in my cubicle cackling with glee at how the Dems must be seething - can you just picture Dashole and the Hildebeeste? Oh yeah. BJ is thinking, why didn't I ever do this? It's not fair. Where's muh legacy?
One of the Fox guys said something like, you have to be in pretty good shape to make a landing like this--I can just see bj poured into a flight suit for landing on a carrier! Ha!

OMG your 61 is so right!

So what's going on again? The President is flying in to the Lincoln on his own or something?
I'm sure this is common knowledge to those with televisions, but I'm locked in an office nether region here.

"Out! Out! damned
spot stone" is my rewrite of Shakespeare these days. Thanks.
No news clips for the dim senators tonight. Bush dominates!! What a guy, what a President! I'm drooling.

Pilot was picked by the CO of the airwing, Bush left it up to his judgement. I know the standard line will be, "well, all of our pilots are professionals--this is just another mission."
But still, don't you think the pilot will at least be a little excited--kinda like driving with dad after just getting your learner's permit? What an honor...you just know that pilot will end up with an 8x10 glossy, signed, with him and the President prior to their historic mission!

I'm locked in a cubicle, too. From what I understand, President Bush will be in the front seat with pilot, secret service and other pilot in back seats.

I'd really like to hear the radio chatter on this one, from the AWACS to the subs to the deck boss. This is historic!! The President loves and trusts his guys.

Haven't read the whole thread, but Fox just said he's off AF1, changed into his flightsuit and is getting ready to go!

I am in NY and I noticed in 2000 that the females I know who voted for hillary did so to negate their spouses vote. All Hillary can bank on is the man haters vote.

Wow..........ok, thanks!

Depends on the season. The flight deck crew will NOT wear dress uniforms. However, there will certainly be a reception committee set up somewhere just inside the island in dress uniforms.
He will most likely be hustled off the flight deck so that the escort aircraft can be recovered quickly.
