The Dixie Chicks aren't the only Texas natives bashing President George W. Bush.
Sandy Duncan who is performing in South Carolina, told a local paper that she questioned the decision to go to war, and wishes that rather than President Bush, the United States had a leader who was 'globally aware' and 'really smart.'
'I just wish men would quit thinking they could just duke it out with each other,' the native of Henderson, Texas, told the Times and Democrat.
'I don't have all of the facts, and who knows what's really the truth, but I really don't respect [President Bush's] way of dealing with this situation.
It would be great to have someone really, really smart in that office, and someone who is globally aware.'

Sandy was on a sitcom in the late 80's 'The Hogan Family'...As I recall, she only got that gig because Valerie Harper was holding out for more money and the network replaced her with Sandy.
To: AxelPaulsenJr
she only has one-eyed vision and that seems to be failing as well

For Sandy--Here is your Saranda Warning:
You have the right to remain stupid. Everything you say can and will be stupid. You have the right to a spokesman (which is the only way to hide your stupidity). If you are too stupid cannot afford a spokesman one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?
Sandy? Sandy?

This topic reminded me a a great photograph I saw yesteday - John Wayne as the Sgt. Striker character in "Sands of Iwo Jima" with the phrase "Life is tough - It's tougher if you're stupid"
Seems apropos for Sandy.

Globaly aware and really smart... I wonder who she's measuring him up to. LOL Who could it be? Sorry Sandy, he already squeaked by for eight years. BTW, he wasn't globaly aware or smart.

According to the Yahoo bio, Sandy had a successful children voice over movie in the '90s then she bottomed out with a straight to video cable romantic comedy movie last year.

'I don't have all of the facts, and who knows what's really the truthBut that won't stop me from opening my yap anyhow!
Once you've appeared as a cartoon guest star on Scooby-Doo, it's more or less downhill from there.

The sad thins is that Sandy Duncan doing community theatre in South Carolina thinks that people actually care what her opinions are on the war (ala Robbins and Sarandon)LOL. But at leat we know WHY this idiot celebrity came out with her lunacy. Hell, she's from Texas and she has to grovel for grub in South Carolina.
Since she's severely talent-challenged, she's just trying to get some free publicity so she can earn a 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning gig on the Cartoon Network. She can't go much lower . . . what the hell is anyone gonna boycott?

My hometown is 15 miles from hers, and my cousin is a practicing M.D. in her hometown, and I can assure you that NOBODY CARES what she thinks....
She certainly doesn't represent Texas or the majority of thought in it either!
To: catpuppy
That is classic! We should use that on other stupid celebrity saying things threads..
