All Million Mom March members and supporters who want to show America that Florida and others are united against gun violence and for kids, and oppose the extremists who run the NRA are cordially invited to join us at the Orlando Convention Center on April 26th. The convention center is the site of the National Rifle Association's annual convention where Jeb Bush will be the Keynote Speaker on Saturday night.

The kick-off of the public demonstration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the gathering of the March participants at the Orlando Convention satellite parking garage which is located at our official site located at Canadian Court and International Drive. This is also the official bus drop off location and gathering area for the one-quarter mile MARCH to the convention center. The demonstration will continue at 10:30 a.m. at the Orlando Convention Center from 10:30 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m.

A special survivor/victim sanctuary is planned for the event site. This sanctuary will provide participants with an opportunity to honor and remember those lost to gun violence. Memorials from chapters from around the country are now being made for this sanctuary. Please contact your local chapter for details or see the event contact info below for more information.

The MMM Florida State Council is sponsoring this rally for the purpose of exposing the extremist NRA agenda and showing our support for sensible gun laws. The NRA opposes the ban on assault weapons. We must enforce, renew and strengthen the federal assault weapon ban that is due to expire in 2004. We must keep weapons of war, like Uzis and AK-47s, out of our neighborhoods.

Shame on Florida! Florida has received a D+ rating by the Million Mom March for their failure to enact even the most basic laws to protect our children. We will be calling upon Jeb Bush and Florida legislators to enact common sense gun laws that protect the lives of our children.

I guess we knew this was coming. These smarmy little Marxists are nothing if not predictable with their pathetic hyperbolic attempts to look like some sort of "majority". Anyone going to the convention who's up for a little counter-rally? If so, leave the camo at home, bring your American flags, make a sign saying something like:

"Firearms Equal Freedom"
"My Gun Potects Your Freedom"
"Control Your Kids, Not My Guns"
"I'm the NRA"
"MMM = Many Misled Moms"
Etc., etc.

Let's stand and face down these poor deluded buggers for a couple of hours in the Florida sun! Maybe you'll even get interviewed by a TV crew or two.

I'd like to be there, and I may be, if the folks at the memerships desk want to let me go. I'll be working the counter from 0730 to 1800 as a volunteer.

The commie mommies had their demonstration at the NRA convention here in Kansas City two years ago. It was pretty pathetic, two hundred at best. We weren't allowed to take our signs onto the plaza, but we had demonstrators at every entrance and marched all around them.

All Million Mom March members are invited to meet at the large table at the southwest corner of the "Denny's Restaurant" on International Drive in Orlando before the march. We talked to the manager, and if the turnout is larger than last time, marchers may qualify for the group discount on breakfast!
