News anchors glum amid Iraqi jubilation

Baghdad's jubilation got the cold shoulder from some journalists yesterday.

The press did not question the raising of the American flag over Iwo Jima back in 1945.

But only minutes after President Saddam Hussein's statue toppled before overjoyed Iraqis, NBC's Kelly O'Donnell asked Central Command spokesman U.S. Navy Capt. Frank Thorpe whether it was appropriate for Marine Cpl. Edward Chin to briefly cover the statue's face with a U.S. flag. The act implied the United States already had assumed control of the regime, Miss O'Donnell said.

That was one of the greatest moments in the history of TV. They have made complete fools out of themselves. They had to eat quagmire crow.

From what I saw, I thought Cpl. Chin only intended to cover the statue's face while he fastened the cable so he wouldn't barf from having to look at it.

I thought it was perfectly obvious that he was symbolically rubbing Saddam's nose in the American flag ....

Now that you relate this Pentagon flag background, I'm even more convinced of it.

CNN anchors are STILL hand-wringing about the flag thing. Guess they have not yet grasped the larger significance of today's events and are still hung up on details that no one really cares about. If this is such a grievous offense to the Iraqis, then why are the Iraqis waving American flags adorned with pictures of Rocky and Harley Davidsons among other things?

Jennings tone was incredible -- 'supercilious' and 'snide' are the nicest adjectives I can come up with.

Jennings is absolute worthlessness masquerading as a human being. He should be classified as a toxic pollutant.

Do you think we should send sympathy cards in their time of grief to Jennings, Katie, CNN?

I would tell them, and everyone else who considers freeing an oppressed and brutalized people to be a crime, that if they can't handle seeing the triumph of good over evil, they should slit their own throats and wrists and do the rest of the world a favor. Leftists have proven once and for all that they are evil incarnate. Their hatred of Bush, America, God, and Truth is absolutely obscene. They are truly offended that a murderous dictator has been toppled and that innocent people have been liberated. They have no souls and no hearts, and my utter contempt for them cannot be measured. To me, they are nothing but plague carrying rats.

she then mentioned that some concern existed about biological terrorism and SARS.

It will be interesting in the weeks and months ahead to see the geographical locations where SARS spreads the most. Anyone familiar with Revelations is well aware of how the godless will be punished by plagues, and all the leftists who despise freedom and truth and have sided with Satan in favor of Saddam have more than qualified for the indignant wrath of a righteous God.

“YANKEE bastard,” yelled the young British peacenik

I would pay to see that satanic b*tch crushed under an M1A1. Corrie redux. These subhumans are pure evil, and I feel absolutely no mercy toward them. They are an utter waste of skin, and corrupt and putrid souls. The more noble and righteous an act, the more they villify and slander it. How anyone can condemn the liberation of oppressed people is beyond all human rationality.

They've been protesting ever since Satan was cast out of Heaven, and they'll be protesting until they share his fate in hell.

Poor glum news anchors of the Left. They should seek clinical assistance for their depression. I'm sure Dr. Kervorkian can help.
