If you thought the rabid anti-Americanism displayed by such bottom-sucking slugs as Michael Moore was as low as Hollywood can sink, think again. The producer of the CBS miniseries "Hitler: The Rise of Evil" says it is a warning to the American people that if they don't watch out the Bush administration could morph into a carbon copy of Hitler's National Socialist dictatorship.
According to the New York Post, something called Ed Gernon, the CBS producer of the Hitler miniseries starring Robert Carlyle, Peter O'Toole and Julianna Margulies, says he sees the program as a warning for Americans about the Bush administration. And this craven fool says that that he, Margulies and director Christian Duguay all think it's a good idea for Americans to keep Hitler's Nazi regime in mind while looking at the Bush White House.
A fearful American public's cooperation with Bush's policies, Gernon tells TV Guide, is "absolutely" similar to post-World War I Germany's acceptance of Hitler's extremism. "I can't think of a better time to examine this history than now," he said.
CBS President Leslie Moonves quickly separated himself from Gernon's disgusting tirade, telling TV Guide he doesn't share the filmmaker's highly paranoid views and doesn't subscribe to the Bush-Hitler comparison.
Isn't that big of him?
What the American people need to do is keep Stalin's propaganda ministry in mind when watching CBS, a network that hires people such as Comrade Gernon and keeps them on the payroll when they compare the president of the United States to Adolf Hitler.
What can you expect from the network that refuses to lift a finger against useful idiot Dan Rather after he spread propaganda for genocidal dictator Saddam Hussein?

"When I think of Hitler's Nazi regime I am reminded that President Bush would protect us against such a regime. Even stranger given that Saddam belongs to the Baath Party, which really is a Fascist party started in the 1940's.

So many forget the Socialist part of the National Socialist Workers Party. Socialism must be totalitarian in nature to perpetuate itself. It must control the population ever more completely because what is not controled turns against the socialists in power. The resultant militarism is a manifestation of that need to control because to control one must have the power to force. In the final analysis that power to force is a man with a gun or as Orwell said a boot in the face. Power is its own end for those who get it usually unchecked by rule of law there is nothing that will not be done. At first, it will be rationalized as for the "common good" then the common good is the perpetuation of the power of the ruler.

Of course leftists call Bush Hitler. Sixty years ago, they would have called Churchill Hitler. What they would have called Hitler himself, who knows? But the problem comes from the fact that they call God Satan. That's why they see everything else in reverse.

This doesn't surprise me too much Katya. The National Socialist Party took their inspiration from the Socialists in Russia. I think it is not by accident that Saddam took what he thought was the best of both worlds. He hated Jews, as did the Nazis, and he took Stalin as his personal hero. Pity the poor people of Iraq with such a monster in power.

(Like THAT'll ever happen_.

Drives me crazy! Hitler was a socialist, NOT a conservative. The lefties have rewritten history to suit their own socialist views. It is the left we have to watch and worry about!!!!

There's a lot of people who feel that way..isn't surprising..time to separate the kids and the adults?? Why draw attention?

You know Meek, I've been thinking about this subject this afternoon. It seems to me, it's wrong to continuously compare or label people as Hitler because it minimizes the horror this monster inflicted on millions of Europeans and Americans. He slaughtered millions of people. People should not be throwing Hitlers name around lightly just because they don't like someone's politics.
I can't express what I'm thinking very well. Help me out here. Any thoughts?

We are with you.. let em' keep talking. The are totally misjudging Americans. They think Americans are stupid. But we know who the real "clymers" are, who the real "socialists and communists" are.

Watch the "Ivy league" prejudice please. Take note that Bush himself is Yale Harvard. Berkeley and Duke and UNC are at least as liberal, as are many other universities.

...he sees the program as a warning for Americans about the Bush administration. Yeah, I can picture the miniseries now... Hitler speaks of 'evildoers' with a Texas accent, and promises to "leave no Jew behind."

Well, there are people that don't have a conscience like you or me. Anyone comparing GW Bush to Hitler is obviously warped and has a warped agenda. They are irrelevant. Hitler was a bigot mass-murderer. It's the old 'if you're gonna tell a lie, tell a BIG LIE' thing. I think. :O)

May 7, 2002 - Los Angeles - Ed Gernon, Executive Vice President, Television Movies, Miniseries and Motion Pictures, ALLIANCE ATLANTIS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, announced today that ALLIANCE ATLANTIS has optioned the rights to Richard Blow's best selling book AMERICAN SON, based on the life of John F. Kennedy, Jr., to be made into a two hour movie for CBS and produced in association with True Entertainment.
"From the beginning, what attracted us all to this story was the simple human journey - a man coming of age, set against America's obsession with celebrity. In this case, JFK, Jr. was struggling against not so much his own family's legacy, as the American people's expectation of it," commented Mr. Gernon.
