Rally went great! We had supporters stretched from Ft. Huachuca to Veterans Memorial Park. No antis near us at the post gate. Lots of horn honks and waves!!! Spiff will post the pics my hubby took out our sunroof while driving. Good job Sierra Vista!!!

Too bad these don't make the headlines like the pro-Saddam rallies do!
Rush is right, if you get all of your news from the networks and the papers you would think 90% of the population is pro-Saddam and that Saddam is kicking our butts!

Makes me smile, listened to abc radio on the way home from work and they actually listed the rallies for our troops across the country that were going on this weekend.
I almost ran into the car in front of me when I turned up the radio.

Thanks, Spiff! Don't let these pics fool you, they were taken fairly early in the rally. By 2pm we had folks on both sides of the road and bikers, convertibles and pick-ups cruising Fry Blvd with large flags flying and patriotic music blaring. A big thanks to the Salvation Army. They sponsered this event.

Mr & Mrs 1st Freedom 2A and Abbe, the Rat Terrier, were there. Thanks for the pics.
To: Spiff
It does my heart good to see decent Americans lined up all across the country showing support for our troops! Different as night from day from the thugs on the "peaceful" side!
Thanks so much!!!!

I was not able to make it there, but the pics and descriptions make me glad and proud that I am a member of this group.

Those who don't know Sierra Vista probably don't realize that line of people is 2.2 miles long. I love this city!!!

3rd picture, at Veteran's Memorial Park. Mr. is in middle of picture, red shirt, white cap. We brought our flags from all the Gulf War "Support Our Troops Rally's" we attended in Tucson, 12 years ago, when we had a Marine son over there. This time we have a Marine grandson protecting our freedoms! We loaned out several of the flags today. We had a WWII Vet sitting beside us, with one of our flags.

I'm in the second to the last picture in the black skirt. My daughter is sitting on the sidewalk behind me. I'm holding the sign that looks like it has 5 dots on it. It was the seals from the 4 military branches plus the Presidential Seal. It said Pray for Our Troops and Pres. Bush. The other side has American and British flags and said United We Stand Against Terrorism. We loaned out a bunch of flags too but we forgot to get them back. I hope they have good homes :-) God bless your family. We have a nephew in the Wyoming National Guard that leaves in a couple of weeks. My brother graduates from OCS in August and my husband is retired Army.

Had a Great Time! kept hollering for the folks in the street to come join in.
At one point we even had a "Panda-Car" Cheer us on over the car's PA system.
