my heartfelt condolences to the families of these brave men. We did not know them personally but we recognize them in the faces of all the soldiers around, their sense of duty high, their love for America unquestionable, their desire to protect and defend the values they were born into...yes, we shed the tears of our sorrow today, they will never be forgotten, they will always have a special place in the heart of a grateful Nation. May God receive them in His embrace and give them and their families everlasting peace.

Psalm 23
Since September 11, the hymn "Press On" has become something of an anthem at my church. We sang it again Sunday. There are times when pressing on is the best we can do. Rejoicing can only come with time and His healing power.PRESS ON
When the valley is deep,
When the mountain is steep,
When the body is weary,
When we stumble and fall.
When the choices are hard,
When we're battered and scarred,
When we've spent our resources,
When we've given our all.
CHORUS
In Jesus' name, we press on,
In Jesus' name, we press on,
Dear Lord with the prize, clear before our eyes,
We find the strength to press on.
Forgetting all that lies behind us
And straining towards all that lies before.
We press on towards the mark of the high calling
That is ours in Christ our Lord.
(Repeat CHORUS)
CODA
Dear Lord, dear Lord with the prize,
Clear before our eyes,
We find the strength, we find the strength,
We find the strength to press on...
To press on...
I pray these families feel the true comfort of God's loving promises during this time of deep sadness and grief, and know, really know, He holds them in the palm of His hand.
Press On

My heart breaks for the loss of our finest men, and most especially for their families. The depth of their grief is beyond words, but countered by the joy in Heaven upon receiving our very, very best.
Please heal our hearts, dear Lord.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. ~Isaiah 40:30,31May God comfort those who are left behind, and accept the gratitude of our nation for the sacrifice made by this young man.
