FOX NEWS "OUTS" Protesters!
FOX NEWS | 27 March 03 | Self

Posted on 03/27/2003 5:52:33 AM PST by TPartyType

Just a few moments ago, the morning crew at Fox News was interviewing a wounded soldier from the Army Hospital in Germany and they showed him some footage of the couple dozen "die-in" protesters on Fifth Avenue in New York to get his reaction.

When they set it up, the reporterette said, "You've got to keep in mind, Sargeant, that this group is organized by 'Anarchists and Communists,' 'The International Socialist Organization,' and 'Psycho Therapists against War.'" All three reporters took a shot at the inane, professionally-organized protest and the sargeant just shrugged and said somehing to the effect of "well we're fighting for their right to voice their opinion; just don't take it out on the soldiers is all I have to say." Very classy.

Then good ol' Fred Thompson came on a few minutes later and they "outed the protesters" again! They showed his commercial and talked a bit about how there seemed to be as many photographers as protesters and that it was the same old crowd we've been identifying here at FR since February 15. Fred did a great job articulating why and how the American people should frame these "world-wide" protests. I really appreciated what they said because I've been trying to get the word out at my university. I hope the mainstream media starts to "frame the protests" the way Fox News did . . . (but I'm not holding my breath!)

'Psycho Therapists against War'

Please use the correct name for this powerful, patriotic and compassionate institution. As E.D. correctly stated it, it is the Psychotherapists for Social Responsibility.

Also see the FR thread about protestwarrior.com with their terrific posters at ProtestWarrior.com Strikes Again (Super freeping pics of SF mentioned by Rush)

I don't see people bring up how CBS and Sixty Minutes rigged a test to make a pick up truck appear to have a faulty fuel tank.

That was NBC and Dateline, but your point is still valid.

Do you have some proof anywhere that protestors are getting PAID by the Commies/Terrorists (probably funded through China, Saudi's, etc.) to do "their job"? I keep claiming this is true to others who think it is spontaneous "from the heart" peaceniks....when we know this is totally bogus - they ARE doing "Their jobs" and get paid to do so like anyone else who works a "jobs". (I know, I know many of them are college students who have the luxury of doing this instead of going to class - and probably get great praise and credit in class by their Marxists bosses to do so)...but there ARE some getting paid salaries. I want the proof - and are WE infiltrating their groups? If not, we should be.

While civil disobediance must be protected and endured for the sake of all of us, it's just as vital now to spread the word that these citizens are part of organizations which hope to destroy the U.S. from within.

I have to respect their right to protest, but I have a right to know who they are and their intentions.

You nailed it! Condenscending was right on the mark -- disgusting and it sounded just like the weasel. I had turned on the TV and first thing I heard were those comments and I told myself that it was Stephie!

Thought you all might enjoy this one:

The Pope is visiting Washington DC. and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac river. Sailing on the Presidential Yacht, the Sequoia, they're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head, and out into the water.

Secret service guys start to launch a boat, but President Bush waves them off, saying "Wait, wait, I'll take care of this. Don't worry." Bush then steps off the yacht, onto the surface of the water, and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat. He bends over and picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope, amid stunned silence.
The next morning, the Liberal Media carries a story, with front page photos of the event. The banner headline is: "Bush Can't Swim."

I live in Oklahoma and NEVER have heard of that organization. Must be the less than 100 morons that try to demonstrate through OKC several times, but I have never heard the name.

The one and only demonstration they had at OU had the liberal profs and a few students outnumbered by the very active ROTC on campus.

I remember seeing job postings for "activists" in the Disturber before....not recently, though. Maybe we should be scanning the want ads every week.

Fox News isn't considered "mainstream media"? Its owned by the same company that has put out such "quality programming" as "Married with children", "Celebrity Boxing", and "Who wants to marry a millionaire".

So the real "mainstream media" that put out Survivor, The Bachelor and Dog Eat Dog are more credible?

TRUTHFACTOR WROTE: "God Bless FOX News. The other reporting is just disgusting. These other news networks are the enemies of America. It's as if they actually want America to lose this war."

THEY DO!

They want RATS back in office and the ONLY way they can do it is if BUSH is OUT. They ONLY way Bush is out is if the war fails miserably and/or if the economy stays bad or gets WORSE.

By DELAYING the war, the HEAT can cause our guys to suffer from HEAT EXHAUSTION from having to have the chemical warfare suits on. They will also be LESS EFFECTIVE in general because of the heat.

If MASSES of our guys come home in body bags because of that HEAT EXHAUSTION, they will BLAME BUSH (when it was REALLY because of THEIR DELAYS that it got so hot before our troops could go in in the first place.)

BUSH and BLAIR are in this war for the RIGHT REASONS---to rid the WORLD of the biggest threat of WORLD-WIDE MASS MURDER via chemical and biological weapons, and the biggest killer of Muslims in history already. The LEFT JUST WANTS POWER BACK and THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET IT!

THANK GOD FOR BUSH, BLAIR, OUR BRAVE TROOPS and FOX NEWS CHANNEL!!!!!

Of course they should be able to express their opinions!

But that doesn't prevent people from expressing their opinion of their opinions, and neither should it.

Freedom of speech is a two-way street, you know.

I will say that when I have gone to those protests (for a video project I'm doing), the atmosphere is very threatening. There's an almost violent feeling in the air. We disregard this at our peril.

Before leaving for work my wife and I watched Fox show the press conference with the wounded soldiers and marines. All the networks did that, but after the Fox morning crew began discusing these men, described them a true heroes and the best America had to offer. They continued by highkighting the despicable tactics of the fedayeen saddam as contrast, and my wife said"Am I listening to an American anchor saying something good about us? What country am I in?" I said' We're in Fox."

Recently they protested in front of the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta (CNN of all places - the ones that give more exposure to the protestors than any other cable station)with signs calling them media whores. They were protesting the cable news stations coverage of the war. Apparently the peaceniks are only happy when they see lots of civilian casualties! They are the war mongers!
