Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Old news it may be, but the fact that they refuse to help us convict a terrorist shows me where they stand! I can not call this "friendly" in any way.
BTW - They do refer to the one case as the example, but the rule - every day - is the same!

Interesting that Jane Skinner is the mother of twins. FOX babes....no abortions! That would be great, but I think your setting yourself up for a disappointment.

I never said that France or Europe is fighting the war on terror soley for the US.
We will have to disagree.

Fox - Greg Kelly reporting in from the 3rd Infantry. NOT at a standstill due to sandstorm. I wouldn't expect us to stop. Sandstorms are no doubt a big nuisance, but I have to think the sandstorm is more difficult for the bad guys than for us: they have no way of knowing where our folks are.

I thought I had read where the Senate had already agreed to gut the tax cut by $100 billion and put it in Defense. Not sure if that was just committee work or what. This was last week I think before the war started.

There would be a MASSIVE civil war amongst them if that happened. Originally, there were several versions of the Koran (some much "softer" than others), but some iman had all but the current version destroyed.Really? Source please!

Howlin, thanks for the ping. I'll be in and out.

Actually, it was a joint effort by the US, Iraq and the Red Cross.

One of the terms for entering the EU is the abolition of the death penalty in the applying country.

Howso? I was referring to babies already born.... as well as their mothers.
To: An.American.Expatriate
Europe REFUSES to hand over intelligence to us unless we assure them that we will NOT use the Death Penalty against the terrorists!!! Most of the people arrested in Europe have been freed. Europe knowingly and willingly grants asylum to known terrorists. What exactly in the above can be considered positive? I'd like to add the case of that guy in Germany that got 15 years for knowingly assisting the 911 terrorists in their 3000 murders.
To: Sacajaweau
I dunno. No further coverage on any channels I hear. There was no speculation as to what was causing the evactuation and sirens etc.

I heard some guy this morning calling in on Imus - one of the embedded reporters. They were northwest of Nasiria (sp?) and were still moving. Took some enemy fire but fought back and killed about 30 Iraqi soldiers and took another 40 as POWs. He said things appear to be going as planned and the storm was not slowing them down much. He said the storm was horrific though.
I've been in regular dust storms and they are awful.
