Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Considering I don't need the feed (got full access to cable), I'll leave my slot for those that need it ('tis one of the reasons why I'm not racing).

Europe REFUSES to hand over intelligence to us unless we assure them that we will NOT use the Death Penalty against the terrorists!!!
Most of the people arrested in Europe have been freed.
Europe knowingly and willingly grants asylum to known terrorists.
What exactly in the above can be considered positive?

Fox - no real time intercepts from Baghdad to the RG. Pentagon believes that the orders to use CW are at least a day old and are standing orders.

Neal Boortz just said he saw film of airborne troops (82nd div?) JUMPING from C-130's over an Iraqi airfield.

I just wanted to post a link to an article about Capt. Seifert, who was killed in the grenade attack by a fellow soldier in Kuwait.

Sounds like RoboCop got busted.

Bottom line: I'll listen to the experts' explanation of what's happening, or did happen, but I don't believe the predictions at all.
Great post. I agree. We can have expectations of battles but we can't know the results until they are over. We do know, however, that, as President Bush has said, we will prevail!

CNN confirming one of our F16's took out a patriot missile battery. Battery probably locked on his aircraft. This is soooooo sad! But CNN signed off saying "No US casualties in this incident". Others? I hope not. I think this is one class of smart machine taking its revenge against another class.

Many nations have eliminated the Death Penalty. France is one of them and Moussaoui is the person they usually refer to as the example. That's VERY OLD news.

That two to three days - is that for how long the sandstorm will land or when we'll go in?

The sign says, "The only Bush I support is my" and I can't read the last word (s) because it's always wrinkled or she's sitting down ~ Dianna
The last word is own. I saw some jerk woman holding a sign that said that the other day on my way to work. I think it is the sum total of her world view and probably the reason she thought nothing critical of the Clinton years. ~ Dolphy
Ironic that Thinks-with-her-crotch supports a culture that would remove her clitoris...

Fox - Pentagon says not to assume we aren't moving in the sandstorm. Some forces are trained to use these conditions to their advantage.
