I heard some guy this morning calling in on Imus - one of the embedded reporters. They were northwest of Nasiria (sp?) and were still moving. Took some enemy fire but fought back and killed about 30 Iraqi soldiers and took another 40 as POWs. He said things appear to be going as planned and the storm was not slowing them down much. He said the storm was horrific though.
I've been in regular dust storms and they are awful.
I've been in regular dust storms and they are awful. Sandstorms have got to hurt, and it's gotta be hell to keep the weapons clean. Plus which, every bite of food would be crunchy.
Then again, the Iraqis have to deal with it, too, and I'm guessing they're having a harder time than we are.
