We got to Times Square shortly before noon, and there were well over 1000 patriotic people there! We started out up front, but my dad was uncomfortable and we kept going back and back and back and back... Therefore the only speaker photos I have are of the lady from the Christian Coalition and a couple of FReepers.

By the time we left, there were at *least* close to 3000 flag-waving, "USA! USA! USA!"-chanting patriots squeezed into the area near the ticker tape in Times Square.

I didn't see any other threads on this, so I apologize if this is a duplicate.

I can't get it bigger! - even with the height="?" width="?" stuff.

I've tried both 'href and 'src', and I've posted pictures on two other occasions - using 'href', just fine, but this time nothing works! I tried to copy/paste on a larger pic and I get a 'Forbidden!! notice'

I don't give up easily, but 5 hours last night and as much today is enough! I give up!

Anyone want a digital camera? Cheap - (but broken in a dozen pieces!!)

How about doing this, e-mail the pictures to me and I will post them on one of my servers.

webshots does not allow outposting of their pictures.

Alternative is for Exit148 to post the URL: of the main page of this album where she posted these photos, then we all go to the webshots website and view them.

mine are sitting on Community webshots also.

That is because you are logged into community webshots. It simply means that there is a cookie on your computer that you are a member. Since I am not a member, I can't see her pictures.

Most free photo sites allow you to set up a photo album and send other people a link where they can come to the site to view the photos.

on the other hand exit148 should be able to see the phots also.

I still think she is better off simply posting a link to the main page of her photo album on webshots.

Also webshots does not allow outlinking from their site. Once the server detects that the requesting link is located on another server or domain it will refuse to upload. Unless of course you are a member and have a cookie on your computer that the server requests to see if you are logged in.

Cookies are what make it all happen. That is why once logged into FR you don't need to re-log unless you log off and another cookie is deposited in your computer.

Freepin-fantabulous idea Ca-see-ke! (NOT 'cachique') I thought of mailing the pictures to someone, but that would really be admitting defeat, and also put a burdon on someone. Your idea is the best of all, until I have mastered this mystique of posting pics. For all to browse:-

TaDa! I feel better, and plan to glue my camera back together and take it off the market. LOL!

The pictures include Woman of Standard, Leprechuan (on the other side of a shiny car) Katnip peeking out in the crowd, Dr. Raoul; Cacique; Yahuda; Coleus; Bret Schundler, and with him is a fantastic guy who once wrote a terrific column on Brett, Al Steinberg; Firebrand; a couple of moi; Dutchy, and lots of crowd stuff.

Next time, I'll do this earlier so that it won't be so stale. Live and learn!!

Is there another 'picture posting' site that makes it easier? - One that will post the picture directly ---instead of a link?

Thanks for sharing your photos too. Looking at all the different collection of pics just brings me back to the excitement of the day. You know those peaceniks are so full of anger...but our day was full of hope and pride in both country and our servicemen. What a contrast! (Police didn't have to wear riot gear with us either.)

That's so funny you spot me in the news twice. ABC didn't have the 11:00 news (well maybe once I was asleep) and I didn't see any others.

It's hard to believe they got this shorty in any pics. I had a wonderful time. Enjoy my new "photo album"! I'll be doing this again. My son wants to come next time. He says being able to jump up and down and yell all you want sounds fun LOL
