(CBS) Ten U.S. soldiers were injured, six or seven of them seriously, in a grenade and small arms attack at Camp Pennsylvania in northern Kuwait, reports CBS News Correspondent Mark Strassmann, who is traveling with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division.
Strassmann said the grenades were rolled into two commanders' tents at the camp. When officers ran from the tents, they were hit by small arms fire.
"From our reports it appears that a terrorist penetrated Camp Pennsylvania, one or more terrorists threw two hand grenades into a tent," said George Heath, spokesman at Fort Campbell, home base of the 101st.
Strassman said three suspects were being held for questioning, two Kuwaitis who served a translators and an American soldier described as a black Muslim.
The injured soldiers were rushed to a field hospital but military officials had no word on their conditions, Lt. Cmdr. Charles Owens said from Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar.
The military did not identify the unit of the 101st that was in the camp but said it had been in Kuwait for about one week. Most of the division has entered southern Iraq.
Separately, Strassmann reported, an Iraqi rocket fired at U.S. forces in Kuwait was destroyed by Patriot missiles launched from nearby Camp New Jersey.
The terror and missile attack came as the U.S. assault on Iraq gained steam. American and British forces besieged the southern city of Basra and pounded Baghdad with impunity. But tough fighting loomed for coalition troops as they pressed deeper into Iraq.

Time to ask every American soldier, "Do you condemn the attack by the Black Muslim soldier?"
Those that won't anser "Yes," should be discharged, and left there, in thier undershorts.

You are assuming that when SeeBS said 'black muslim' they meant 'a member of the Black Muslim movement' when it is entirely possible they were trying (artlessly) to say 'a black man who is a muslim.' They are NOT necessarily the same thing. You still haven't identified your planet of residence.
How many "non-black-movement" black Muslims do you think would be in the U.S. Army? Recent immigrants from Muslim African countries? Check it out before you make a complete ass of yourself.

God, please don't let him be black...what a disgrace that would be for our people. Arclight, you are one of us! The disgrace is to him alone, and those who agree with him! At my work, there are several who are veterans, who are black, whom I would trust with my LIFE. Good conservatives who love this country more than they do themselves. This should NOT be a blight on Blacks, or anyone but himself and those who agree with him.
Having said that, I understand your sentiments, just sad how things go. I'm sure this might inflame some racists out there.

I don't doubt that the media goaded him to it, they prey on misery, but his statement today, although not groveling, let me know he wasn't a complete @ss.

Most of them were the results of people getting caught involving drugs and were usually rear area units.Kuwait would qualify as a rear area, but would they have been there long enough to have an established drug trade involving locals yet? This could get interesting as it develops. Assuming we ever hear what the result is.

Fox News now describing him as a Muslim American. At this point...I find the description an oxymoron!

Unfortunatly, it is very real....It's just the calliber of the leftists who are protesting the Liberation of Iraq.
Check out the following web site - and it's associated links for pictures from protests:

I just want to be clear, if this dude is 'a black man and a muslim' I still think his race is irrelevant.
But if he is a member of a 'Black Muslim' movement like FOI, it is an indictment of Army admissions/screening for letting him in the service at all, and an indictment (ANOTHER indictment) of Black Muslim groups everywhere.

You saw a very distraught "father" saying that George Bush killed his son (although I don't think he actually said that). If my only daughter were killed over there, I would be so insane with grief I would be liable to say anything. I'm sick and tired of this father being attacked here. Why can't you let the man alone in his grief? All these comments about that man smack of "racism" to me...and that does seem to be a lot of that (racism) here against black people.

Frustrating isn't it?
Are we really suprised?
