Black Muslim US soldier is a suspect! ("10 U.S. Soldiers Hurt In Grenade Attack")

(CBS) Ten U.S. soldiers were injured, six or seven of them seriously, in a grenade and small arms attack at Camp Pennsylvania in northern Kuwait, reports CBS News Correspondent Mark Strassmann, who is traveling with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division.

Strassmann said the grenades were rolled into two commanders' tents at the camp. When officers ran from the tents, they were hit by small arms fire.

"From our reports it appears that a terrorist penetrated Camp Pennsylvania, one or more terrorists threw two hand grenades into a tent," said George Heath, spokesman at Fort Campbell, home base of the 101st.

Strassman said three suspects were being held for questioning, two Kuwaitis who served a translators and an American soldier described as a black Muslim.

The injured soldiers were rushed to a field hospital but military officials had no word on their conditions, Lt. Cmdr. Charles Owens said from Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar.

The military did not identify the unit of the 101st that was in the camp but said it had been in Kuwait for about one week. Most of the division has entered southern Iraq.

Separately, Strassmann reported, an Iraqi rocket fired at U.S. forces in Kuwait was destroyed by Patriot missiles launched from nearby Camp New Jersey.

The terror and missile attack came as the U.S. assault on Iraq gained steam. American and British forces besieged the southern city of Basra and pounded Baghdad with impunity. But tough fighting loomed for coalition troops as they pressed deeper into Iraq.

Having Black Muslims in the Army in the Middle East makes about as much sense as having active Communist Party members in the Army during the Cold War

Set back? Is the fact that 85-90% of muslim clerics in the world preach hatred for the US, Christians, Jews, and anyone else who is not one of "them" (we are all infidels) not enough set-back?

I am beyond the point of retrieveable trust - If they are Muslim, I refuse to trust them - period. Turkey is a prime example - our supposed "Allies" - who have pretty much screwed us in this endeavor - and now are stabbing us in the back by moving troops into northern Iraq.

I know - I'm not being tolerant - and I don't care. I have always been pretty good at judging people by their actions and lives instead of by their race/religion/etc. But in this case - I am fed up.

Personally, I hope his fellow sodiers find him and skin him alive - literally.

Yes. That is why the Muslims need to be booted out. Without trust their is no esprit de corps and operations cannot be conducted with eyes on the target instead of each other.

Don't know about booting 'em out. But it's a real problem, to be sure. I would prefer it if the Muslim "community" would begin taking action. By that I mean reporting on the wackos, and actively discouraging this nonsense. That would help considerably. until they start that, we have no choice but to view all of them with jaundice eye.

Yes, airborne since Vietnam has meant that about 30% are black. In Vietnam I remember that many 101st troopers were black with Jump-Wings and they loved America more than most.

So, if this crazy was black that is only a coincidence that his skin color is black.(Minister Farakahn sends his chosen to be trained in the Army - but he was a Muslim first.) Tim McVey was white and we saw what he could do.

Yes, true. I don't think anybody should be interned (yet - it may happen) but they should certainly be closely watched.

Farrakhan's group is dangerous, but personally, I think just about any mosque is dangerous. Converts (of any color) are frequently the most fanatical, too.
